The CAFD is 2098. I’ll try to edit xml and report back. Thank you!

Is anyone else annoyed by that small stupid useless Lane Departure Warning light at the right bottom of an instrument cluster? So I've found the way to disable it without switching off the system:

KAFAS2 --> 3020 --> DISPLAY_VARIANT, manually change Werte from 04 to 01. Light will disappear.

I've got 6WB, I know it's displayed differently and less annoying on a regular cluster, but should work there too.

Hi,

I am getting data reading error when I tried to read data from the head unit.
I contacted Bimmercode support and found out that it was because I have coded to allow Video In Motion a few years ago. I was advised to decode which I did. However, I still received the data reading error. Bimmercode told me that the coding data signature is still wrong and that's why it will not allow to code. I would need to bring it back to its original state.

Would anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

Hi gents,
I need some urgent help: after asking a shop to hardwire my dash cam, I'm getting these 2 errors:
"Active Blind Spot Detection malfunction"
"Lane departure warning deactivated"
I also get the "Cruise control malfunction", but this clears by itself.

I tried clearing all DTCs in eSys external app, but no help. These stay on even if I disconnect the wires from the dash cam itself.

Any advise?

Rheingold will say exactly what the problem is, but I would bet the shop screwed up KAFAS camera - cut the cable or forgot to connect the connector or something else.

Could you tell me where to get Rheingold and how to use it?

Thank you!

На рутрекере, где ж ещё But at this point I think the better idea is to go back to the shop and to ask to fix it.

Will be picking up a 2015 BMW X5M on Saturday. The vehicle does not have the 6NS option. Will the coding of 6NS void the warranty on the vehicle?

Are there any coders in the VA area? If so, please PM me.

There is no definitive answer on warranty. They can try and void warranty for almost anything if they choose to, but the question is then if it is legal to do so, and would it stand up in court. If car is not broken, and can be programmed by dealer, it is hard to justify voiding warranty as nothing is wrong with car (no harm).

What shawnsheridan said.

I would add that for the most part, the dealer doesn't care about FDL coding. Your simply activating OEM options of the vehicle that are were disabled for your region or vehicle platform. Most of the people who have had their warranty voided have been doing engine tuning/coding. That is a different animal altogether.

Correct. But generally no one cares about the coding in terms of warranty.
