Trunk won't open all the way

Hi all, I have done my search but nothing came up. About a month ago my 2018 F15 X5 trunk won't open all the way about 50% of time, either from the button on the trunk or from inside (yes I have bimmercoded) or pressing the trunk button on keyfob. I have made sure that I pressed the hatch button, button from inside as well as the keyfob firmly, not just press and let go immediately. 50% of time the trunk would just open the latch only and stays there so I have to press the button again to have it open all the way. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance!!

There are settings in iDrive how far you want to open trunk

Ditto above...have you checked your setting in iDrive to rule out that it hasn't changed?

Had this exact issue this week. It was a bad battery. Battery had to be replaced and registered.
