Looking to change up the look on my X5 Currently have M469 wheels in gloss blk. Looking on eBay and found 21 and 22 inch m599 reps.
Has anyone ordered from this vendor? I'm lowered on eibach springs. Not sure how harsh it would be going with 22's.

22s with non run flats are fine so long as the majority of your driving is not on bumpy roads. I put 22s on mine and haven’t looked back.

Following. More specifically for the vendor, they seem to have some nice reps but want to see if anyone has bought from them.

21" tires are much more limited and expensive than 22"s so there's that

Hi,

I always advise against replicas but I am sure the set will be fine on regular roads. I would spend a little bit more and get the originals as they are made better in construction and comes with a 2-year warranty from BMW as well.

Some observations from the pictures:

-A different barrel design, more like a 20" non-forged/flow formed barrel design
-Non-machined or diamond-cut wheel face (the machined grooves are missing)
-Glossy orbit grey paint and clear coat. The OEM 599m have a matte clear coat.

Here is an example of the original rear wheel pictures:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-X5-X6-N...-/383297718046

As you know, the OEM Performance Wheels are:

"Weight-optimized forged alloy wheels with M logo in an exclusive bi-color design. High gloss polished finish on the face and Orbit Gray paint between the spokes are protected from corrosion with a clear coat. Front: 10"J x 21"m Offset 38 Rear: 11.5"J x 21, Offset 40. RSC tire 285/35 R21 front, RSC tire 325/30 R21 rear."

If I lived in the U.S I would have the oem M599 wheels on my suv. Unfortunately here in Canada these wheels are super expensive new and good luck trying to find them used. I totally understand the difference between replicas and OEM. I really think the 22 inch looks much better than the 21 inch but not sure how this wheel will be on a low profile tire. Currently have M468 20 inch replicas from my winter set up and drove over so many potholes never bent one rim In the 4 years of use.

I would say you won't have a problem with replicas no doubt as the manufacturing process has been improved and the Rota days are a thing of the past.

It actually took me 5 years to find a used set here in Canada since they are $8K CAD. I was lucky enough to buy from a former BMW parts personnel and gave me a good deal.

I find the 612m more common on the used market around for $3K which is a good alternative from the 599m.

I bought these exact ones a few weeks ago. Took awhile but they were finally delivered a two days ago. They came really well packaged and look great. Communication with the vendor was really good. They answered all my questions and sent shipping updates. I'll post some pictures once I have them installed.

22 Inch wheels scare me. Reps, even worse. I’d rather get an off brand different design. OEM 20” wheels look okay but definitely feels like you could do more. I bought 215M wheels for mine which are OEM 21”, they look insane. Big but “correct”. I have the 19” snows on right now, it will be a few months of not looking at the car too much. Share some pics of your ride. In the long run the problem with reps is that they are worthless when you want to get rid of them. Getting a replacement is a problem. And they simply are not as strong as OEM or a proper cast wheel from a reputable brand. Just my perspective.

Keep us posted how your ride is going along. I'm on the fence to buy replicas 21s 599s. But buying OEM new for $4800 vs replicas $2000 is a 60% savings and worth the risk ...... please keep us posted . Ty.
