Wash: Meguiars Crystal Car Wash
Tires/Plastic: Meguiars Hyper Dressing (mixed 5:1) - Best product on the planet. Watch vids about it.
Interior: BMW leather cleaner/conditioner and BMW vinyl protectant

I chose BMW leather/interior products because they smell good and proven not to stain. Easier to blame BMW if it does cause any issue.

I don't do any wax or detailing to the car. I haven't kept a single BMW past 2yrs so there's no need to waste time on it. My itch to get another car is coming.

I use the Griot's Garage products, except on my leather interior, and for that I use LeatherMaster Products. Some argue against Griot's products, but I find they work well, and they smell wonderful.

I only use Autofinesse, seems high quality products, my favourite bottle is autofinesse glisten spray wax, very easy to use and gives to LBB deep and shiny effect

re

after many years of experimenting I have a recipe for what works. I use basic car wash such as eagle one or Meguirs...I never use more than a cap since too much soap removes your sealants.
I have a Griots Boss 21 orbital polisher. I use menzerna polishes now because I think theyre the best. I just did my 2016 black x5m this weekend with Menzerna HC compound followed by Menzerna Super finish 3800 polish. I then use Menzerna Powerlock to seal and follow with Wolfgang Fusion.
Now you ask why would I polish a brand new car? When I had my clear bra installed, it was the day after the NYC blizzard and my suspicion is the installer ran it through a carwash putting swirls all over it. Menzerna heavy cut compound is perfectly safe on your Bimmer and produces an incredible finish. Very little dust and powerlock is awesome as well. good luck

You are going to get a dozen different answers for every dozen people you ask.

I use Zaino :-)

Exactly. Tons of products are fine. But use the 2 bucket technique, a couple of good hand mits, and work top down. Rinse the mits often. And use the best chamois or other drying towels, always like new, and lots of them (the more you use the less chance you have of dragging dirt around). I use the same soap on car and wheels.

Just be prepared when you go into the dealership quite often they give you a wonderful "complementary" wash, with old, dirty towels and nice scratchy brushes, and swirl up and scratch all that wonderful paint work, undoing all of the significant care that is outlined so well in all of the above replies...

Have the car wrapped in 3M stone chip wrap. Had it done from the start so the car is swirl free. The wrap is doing an excellent job at keeping it swirl free. Washing it with Meguirs Ultimate wash. Not polishing it because of the wrap. After wash, been using clay bar with plenty of lubrication. Waxing helps.

Got new car wash from Chemical guys. Mr Pink (great for foam gun) and V7 optical spray wax.

Told the dealer to leave out the wash when I took bae in for run in service, they still did. Got it written down and told them a million times, wasn't enough.
