I totally see your point. My brother-in-law just bought a m340 and added JB4, down-pipe, exhaust, and meth injection and the car goes like a wasp. I am more concerned about the added weight in an X5. Despite the same engine, the m550 runs a 3-second faster 100-200km/h time than the x5 m50. Since 540 with the same engine is around 6 seconds slower than the m550, the X5 will be probably around the same number slower than the X5 m50 in stock setting.

Anyways, the car will go back to full stock b4 the return at the end of the lease, although my SA says there are two people, who are interested to buy it as is, but I don't want to gamble since I have all stock parts.

I get what you're saying, and you're a numbers guy like me. Sometimes we get stuck on numbers rather than how the car "feels". If it feels quick and peppy, and puts a smile on your face then that's a win for me. The X5 is a pig, no way around it but it can still be very fun to drive.

I am kinda about both, numbers and feeling. But, I also wanna be able to actually kick some ass while I am "feeling fast". My 50i felt and drove very fast after the muffler delete and X-pipe but a stock M4 competition (F82) kicked my ass badly when accelerating from 40mph while I was thinking I was flying. But after the tune and DP, it was the other way around with the same guy.

I'd go and get an XM3 competition today if the seats and the cockpit were not giving me leg cramps and back aches and I did not need the legroom in the back.

Definitely a fun car for long stretches and winding roads but not so much fun in Manhattan traffic.

I didn't know you had an aftermarket dp in your 50i, so yeah with the tune I bet that sucker was a beast. I mean, sounds like you gapped a M4 so it was def quick. I agree on the XM3. Just to small of an SAV for me. I'm not a fan of the crossover SUV's for that reason.

Nope, 4 years here lol had to take everything out to do the floors, so while it was all out i decided to do a total re do with paint, trim, add the TV, & floors. Trying to keep it this way for awhile wanted a nice place for the f15 to sleep.

I want to do epoxy in the garage, but our house was build in '67. Cleaning all those years of dirt and chemicals out of the concrete would be a mission in and of itself. Would take days of cleaning to give the epoxy even a remote chance of adhering. Then of course there are all the little micro cracks to deal with. So I just keep telling myself I'm okay with the bare concrete floor.

Then, everytime someone posts a pic of their beautiful garage I start thinking about it again.

You'd have to grind the concrete to get any chance of proper adhesion

Doing the transmission fluid change at 58k miles. I must say that it's pretty stressful to be under the car while it's running

Is that bc you need to fill it @ certain temp?

Yea, you fill it cold then get it to operating temp and fill it the rest of the way. Well 40-50 C anyway..

Not only that, but you need to shift through all gears. Read the ZF procedure.
