I've got 25% front and 20% left on my brakes. Received two quotes - $1100 (non BMW garage) and $1680 at another non-BMW but they deal with exotics.

Seriously? This much!?!

Depends on what you get, just pads or pads and rotors? Do you want to stick to OEM parts or you are ok with aftermarket? I got a quote for pads and rotors all around, parts and labor from dealership $2500. Got ECS rotors and Akebono parts, paid around $1200 parts and labor (and I am in Cali, where prices are way higher). For NC I would expect it being cheaper, and you can always do it yourself.

I just ordered rear rotors+pads+sensor from BMW of North Haven (getbmwparts.com) they are OEM and prices are way cheaper.

For e.g., the dealer price for 1 rotor is ~$166 and their price is ~$108.

Has anyone purchased from them ^

Another place is buybmwparts.com which is BMW of Silver Spring which has similar pricing (but they don't offer local pickup - dang!)

Hello,

I just received my order from FCP Euro for OEM BMW X5 rear brake set-includes pads, rotors, and pad wear sensor for $380-free shipping. Passing along as another potential site to consider for purchasing your brake components. Happy Easter

Hello guys. There is a BMWUSA value service network of select BMW service centers in the US. The prices are reasonable with brake rotor/pad/sensor replacement running at $500+ for each axle using OEM parts.

You should all contact r1concepts
Kevin will give you a helluva deal. I've been using pads and rotors from R1 for over 10 years on various cars and they are all top notch.

On my past BMWs and current X5 I typically use Zimmerman rotors as replacements. I went with ATE blank OEM rotors up front this time, seem high quality and lower cost.

Also right now Tirerack has a great sale on Hawk Pads, did HP+ all around, overall braking is better and still cheaper than BMW pads...

There are a few good YouTube videos that walk you through the process, hardest thing is getting the annoying tension spring off an on. Its a simple process not much different than any other car.

Front:
Pads - Hawk HP - $95 on sale tire rack
Rotors - $106 for 2 -ATE Coated - GetBimmerparts
Kept the brake sensor

Rear:
Pads - Hawk HP $106
Rotors - Zimmerman $133
Kept the brake sensor

Total: $440 F+R

Correct. There's a package deal on FCP Euro for $477. A lot of people told me to do it myself but I am barely DIY so paid $190 ($50 coupon).
