Who is considering getting X5 this year or staying with X5 3 more years?
Those of us who are reaching lease end in the next few months have a very tough decision to make. Stay with BMW 3 more years or get something else and wait for new X5 to settle in and come back after 1st year problems are fixed?

Porsche wisely keeps every new Cayenne look very similar, so that Cayenne bought in 2002 looks similar to just released new 2018 one lol - I wish BMW can do that |

I did - turned in my 2014 and picked up a 2017 doppelganger. No regrets.

I'm going with X5. No other car/suv will match BMW ride and quality unless you want to spend more and going with ~900+ installment.
My thought process is -> In 2020- when the current lease is going to expire(if I'm leasing 2018 X5 now) G03 will be in 2nd year with all of the bugs fixed and I can choose X7 or new X5 at that time with pull ahead offers. I don't need stay full 3 years with current model. |

I don't think they do 1 year pull ahead, do they? Better go total $0 down and build every little thing in that monthly payment if you think they'll allow that. Never thought about 1yr pull ahead. $900 installment is fine, but even few other vehicles are giving BMW run for its money with their incentives and nice features. To me, you have to get close to, if not over $75k (MSRP) to get a comparable vehicle that you get for $60-$65 MSRP elsewhere, because BMW likes to nickle and dime people for every little function/feature and they package them terribly. Just for keyless entry you need to spend $4k on a package. That's the only thing pisses me off, oh and the crappier tires they are putting on these nice vehicles. Nowhere near grippy as they were in E70. That said, I agree 100% that nothing else drives or feels like X5.

Another option is if you are so tempting to upgrade to G03 and X7, sell to Carmax or lease transfer in the 2nd year. I did lease transfer of my 3 series after 6 months as I started travelling for work every week and both cars were standing in the garage. |

I turned in my '14 35d and leased another one. No regrets whatsoever, and the improvement in the electronics is tremendous. Voice recognition is now a pleasure to use and not the frustrating exercise in linguistics it used to be!

My '15 lease up next June. Depending when the new model rolls out, I'm considering extending my lease OR get into another F15. Usually the end-of-year outgoing model will have huge incentives.

I just picked up my next m50d today. I changed the colour but apart from that, and the new idrive, it's the same. The new G05 m50d is out in 2 years so 3 years with this one then I'll change. The car is perfect for me so it was an easy choice plus the deal was amazing (drive old one in, drive new one out and keep paying same lease).

I have a 17 loaner right now. I would say go for it just because of the touch screen iDrive alone. If you guys can hold out wait until the end of the year, and pull the trigger on some 17?s sitting on lots equipped to the nines.
Personally I purchased my 2015, N55 motor really earned my trust. I typically do 20-25k a year on my daily so for the next 4-5 years I?ll be running it into the ground. However I?ll be moving back to MB after they release the next gen AMG GLE & GLS. Have a nice his and her pair of Benz?s once again. Can?t beat their comfort since everybody will have Apple car play it?s no longer about in car UI since it?s the same across the board.
