Alcohol is great until you become an alcoholic.

Valium or Xanex both work well, but both require prescription and are extremely addictive. These can be very effective short-term solutions. (You'll need to find a doctor to prescribe it to you to combat your anxiety attacks, or as a preventative measure to avoid you getting the DT's when you quit your 15+ standard drinks a night drinking problem)

If you need a drug long term, your only real option is Antidepressants. For some people they work wonders, for others they just give you nausea. Doctors give them out like candy these days. You need not do much more than walk into a clinic and say "I'm depressed", to get a script for SSRI's.

Exercise works well if you can motivate yourself to do it. Mediation works for some people if you're into that.

Marijuana, Mushrooms and LSD are a great escape from your problems, but can leave you with a nasty hangover; lack of motivation etc. ... Though, with all three of these you probably want to be in a good place (mentally and physically) before you take them, otherwise you may not enjoy the effects. ... on the flip side, they can give you the escape you need from the monotony of an average life.

MDMA, Coke and Speed help you spend more time out partying and doing stuff you enjoy, but can very quickly leave you flat broke.

Stay the f*ck away from Ice and Heroin. It's just not worth it.

If you're going to experiment, follow these two rules:
  1. Never, EVER take a new drug alone.
  2. Never take a drug that seriously affects your judgement (eg. LSD) or is easy to OD on (eg. Coke) alone, even if you've done them 100 times..

All that said, here's the most healthy answer (yes, even healthier than mediation or Exercise):

Identifying and getting rid of the shit in your life that stresses you out, and making time in your life to spend with people whos company you actually enjoy is the best answer to your problem, because this is often the root cause. ... Though, of all the recommendations, this is generally by far the most difficult to achieve.

there is only one cure for real stress and that is exercise. The problem with stress is it makes you breathe faster, and the shallow breaths result in higher levels of CO2. So, take it from me, ya gotta get out there and run, raise the heartbeat, breathe in and out!

PM me if you need help.

Cannabidiol (CBD) can be used to reduce stress/anxiety/insomnia etc. Works very well for this, more so than the rest of the "claimed" benefits. It will also allow you human endo-cannabinoid system operate to its potential, reaching homeostasis. Without CBD as a supplement I'd never have reached full homeostasis.

Simply explained:

CBD was a game changer for my anxiety. Tons of, supposed, other benefits. Several people I've strongly suggested it to are now off of Ambien. *get good oil, bogus companies o'plenty trying to catch the cbd wave.
My newest super supplement is MitoQ. Should arrive today.

Awesome to hear, I see stories like this every day on FB, and it's amazing where the world is going, with respect to CBD and the entire Cannabis industry.

I've been using Isodiol's products, ranging from their MCT1000 Full Spectrum, which has an entourage effect with the added terpenes and CBGs, etc. Also love their nano oral sprays, they work within minutes! All of their products are derived from "Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed", and have 0 THC content, which is important for me and my work. Have tried CBD from Cannabis and it worked very well, too, just had traces of THC so I stopped taking it. Most of Isodiol's product is a pure 99.9% CBD Isolate, the purest there is, and API approved, which is one of a kind (for now).

October 17 marks a very important landmark for many, as Canada goes full rec. legal. Should be able to experiment a bit more after that! Especially once the physicians start writing prescriptions. My workplace actually has a corporate "Medical MJ policy" in its final stages, to assist us with employees who will be using, while at work. It's crazy time for us!!!

Fighting stress with medication is the wrong answer. If you're that stressed, you're probably not doing stuff that's good for you. The correct answer is to modify your lifestyle.

Any recommendations for "good oil"?

Father in law is thinking about trying CBD for chronic back pain. I wouldn't mind a go for anxiety myself.

www.isodiol.com/shop

All products infused with the same pure CBD isolate. Some have other ingredients added for nutritional benefit. The ISO99 Hemp Oil is one of the best I've tried, next to their Spectreus MCT1000 which is my favourite Hemp Oil:

"MCT1000 hemp oil refers to the pure essential oil extracted from organic hemp which contains all the same cannabinoids and compounds found in the original hemp plant. Unlike isolated or synthetic cannabinoids, full spectrum hemp oil contains multiple cannabinoids (CBD,CBG,CBN etc), essential minerals and vitamins, fatty acids, proteins, chlorophyll, flavonoids, terpenes and fiber. This creates an "entourage effect" for the human endo-cannibinoid receptors/system."

For chronic back pain I'd suggest ISODERM, it's applied to the back on the neck, goes right into the brain stem, works very well and is federally regulated for treating Parkinsons and Epillepsy in South America, already.

Maybe a bit strange but oils, specifically, essential oils are amazing. Completely transformed my stress level and sleep habits. My wife is all into them and I dig it. https://www.doterra.com/US/en

Um. Chronic anything is touchy. I'm not claiming CBd will help but it won't hurt for him to try. The other member seems more in tune with the nuances but I was buying CBDfx out of la because you can also mix it with vape oil. I'm now using hemp fields farm out of Colorado. Iirc, 3 growers passed the audition in texas and I'll be on the lookout for their offerings.
Buy Texas supporter.

Exercise! Best stress combatant there is. If you work out hard enough you will be too tired to be stressed. If you work out enough you will be in better shape and can get a better partner.

Exercise solves everything.

I do agree, exercise or at least getting out more and doing things 'you' like to do, can absolutely lower stress levels. Generally I feel really good after a hard ski day, bike ride, or track day..lol
