Clear coat peeling on Dinan intake cover

Anyone else run into this? Mine started cracking, yellowing, and now peeling. Bought new in 2017.

I hit up Dinan, but it’s out of warranty and they recommended taking it to a paint shop to have it redone. Thoughts?

I have seen this on multiple X5M's with this type of intake. Years ago, I did consider buying one, until I started to see these types of issues develop.
I have a Carbonio CF engine cover and airboxes on my 07 E63 AMG, and I have seen the cover and airboxes start to yellow over the years due to the engine heat but they have never cracked.
As seen in the picture below. And often times these things aren't covered by any warranties. I would take it to a body shop and have them sand down the clear coat and respray it.

Is anyone aware of clear coats that are designed for high temp areas like right above the engine?

If you're looking for a spray can, off the shelf solution, Rustoleum, VHT, Duplicolor all have engine clear coats. That being said, in this case, is it the CF epoxy thats yellowed and not the clear coat?

The back part is definitely clear cost. Not sure on the cracks…

Definitely would be taking it in somewhere to have it professionally done
