I'd double check your measurements, but from what it sounds like you should be fine if you chose to cut it if it makes sense cost wise. |

That would be sweet. I will pay him just to know how much was milled off.
Not trying to draw business away from Tronik but $1600 for rear calipers and adapters is just stupid. |

As I understood it that is the price for new calipers. You can get them cheaper from him if you went the used and unfinished route.

Hi all, searched but didnt find the answer:
I have a 2017 X5 xDrive35i, I just bought lightly used 2010 X6M calipers and rotors to put on my car. Couple questions: 1) What brake sensor do I need? The one that's compatible with E71 or F15? Seems they're different. 2) Apart from new piston seals and pads, what other materials do I need to make this all work? I know there's coding involved which I can handle. Just want to drop it off at a shop and have them have everything they need. Thanks all! Love this forum, such great info available. |

Thanks I anticipated needing pads compatible with X6M (e71) calipers but wasn’t sure about the pad sensor. Hopefully whatever I bought includes everything necessary to get things mounted properly. Everyone says they’re reverse-compatible so it’s plug-and-play but just my luck I’ll be missing some critical piece that I should have ordered in advance. Thanks again.

Another question I searched and havent found an answer to-
Bought some E71 calipers from a 2012 X6M- planning on replacing all the seals and maybe getting them powdercoated another color. Where can I buy new seals and caliper rebuild stuff for this caliper? Found several caliper rebuild kits with seals but they appear to be more generic for BMW and it's not clear if they'll fit or not. Link or part numbers would be helpful! Thanks EDIT: These are the part numbers I've found? Can't really confirm anywhere else or find records of part numbers people have used successfully. EDIT again: ordered. we'll see how it goes front: 143.34032 rear: 143.34021 Last edited by scrubs89; 02-17-2021 at 09:03 AM.. |
