Driverside Mirror Replacement

I recently had some damage to the driverside mirror on my F15 X5 car. Decided to fix it myself but I am only finding replacement mirrors that have blindspot detection (mine does not). Can I still install this version of the mirror? I don't care to have the blindspot feature, I just can't seem to find a used part without it. Let me know what you guys think. Thx in advance

Blind spot alert triangle is in the mirror so it doesn't matter for F15. Just go here
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_9319
Punch last 7 of your VIN and find the p/n which fit your particular car.

Not all f15 X5s have the blind spot triangle in the mirror glass...the early models blind spot triangle is on the mirror housing...the later models have it in the mirror glass.

The OP gave NO car info (model/model yr) so we don’t know which set-up they have. (Help us help you better by always providing vehicle info so that you don’t get incorrect answers/suggestions/recommendations).

More than likely...since there’s no data going to the mirrors that indicate vehicles in the blind spot...if you use them you probably won’t create a fault warning. But the next person that owns the vehicle will probably end up pulling their hair out trying to figure out why the triangles aren’t illuminating.

Example...my 2014 X5 50i has the blind spot triangle on the mirror housing:

Never seen F15 with warning triangle in the mirror glass, what year it was moved?

We're probably on the same page...since I have a 2014...I'm not sure what the last few f15 model years may have changed to. I'm more sure that the G05 X5 has the triangle in the mirror glass.
