My "17 X5M on order

So I put my deposit and got my new '17 X5M on order. I already have my Production Order. I'm really excited. My last ordered car was my '09 e92 M3, that I currently have and will not part from it. I still love that car. I DO NOT like the new M3/M4. I have a '14 335i that I will be trading in.

So my build is as follow.

Long Beach Blue
Mughello Red interior
Carbon Fiber trim
Driver Assistance Plus
Executive Package
Apple CarPlay
Bang & Olufsen Sound System
21" Wheels

Mods on order are,

Dinantronicks Stage 1

Dinan Exhaust w/black tips

Congrats! Very similar to my '17 build, which I picked up 3 weeks ago. My Dinan State 1 and exhaust go on next week. You'll love it!

Have you had any problems on the front bearings? Like the clicking noise that everyone seems to be having? One of the things that kept me from ordering. But I went ahead and said, hell with it.

congrats. mine is in production as well. to be done this Friday. Does anyone know a time frame for after production to be delivered to my nj dealer

My '17 started production on a Monday, was finished on Friday, and was at the dealer Saturday the next week.

And after 1050 miles, still no clicking or brake squealing. Knock on wood.

Yeah, same here. I cannot get rid of that car. It is a beast to me. The new M3/M4, just do not have it. Yes, it is fast as hell, but that is about it. I just can seem to get rid off my M3, for something that is just fast. The sound is not even there. I couldn't make myself trade my car in for one of them. So I said, why not keep it and get me something else. Now, I would have trade it in for an M6 Gran Coupe, but that is it.

whats the situation with manufacturer warranty after say a dinan stage 1 etc .
has anyone ever experienced dealing with dealers after such mods?

No... I'm at 1100 miles and no issues with bearings or squealing brakes yet... fingers crossed!

My '08 E92 has less than 15,000 miles. If you think your M3 is fast, wait until you get your X5M! Fastest car I've ever owned!!! So fun to drive!!

Congrats!! Did they give you any guess on how long it would take from start of production to delivery?

Not yet, hopefully I will know something this week. I will let you know when I find out.

Like I mentioned above, it took a week for production and a week for delivery for mine. When the production was finished the status was a little unclear through the automated phone system, but if you talk to a human they can give you more information. All in all it was a really quick process.

Congrats on your order! So how much you were able to lower the price from Msrp?

And what's the clicking noise from bearing? My car has 5800 miles now and I find it no noise at all?

I got $7,800.00 off MSRP on an ordered X5M. I thought that wasn't too bad.

The clicking noise of the bearings, there is a post on this. It will give you info and bulletins that BMW NA has issued on this.
