Garage List
The "M-Sport" trim brakes are the same as the regular brakes.

Unless you have the M-Performance brakes.

The former should clear fine, the latter may not.

I just upgrade to 20". I have a set of the above wheels for sale. Wheels came off from x5 that has 16k miles, 3 of the wheels are perfect , 1 had been accidently touch the curb once so have litter curb rash. If you are interested, pls let me know?

Exactly! Narrow is better for snow tires.

Maybe spacers? Should I go 12 front and 15 rear?

In case anyone was curious, the 18x8 wheels did not clear the brakes. Going with 19s now.

Was it the barrel of the rim or the spokes?

I have 35i m sport with 18” factory rims and they clear fine.

Not sure. But the tire place said once they put any lead balancing weights the wheel would hit the brake. They said without any lead weights it was still a very tight fit (he said a few pages of paper clearance).

I am assuming the 50i has bigger brakes than the 35i? Is that accurate? I know my 335i had bigger brakes than the 328i.

Yes, the 50i has bigger brakes. Front rotors are 365mm vs 332mm on the 35i.
