Deal?

Hi guys.

I am in the market for an x5. I was wondering what you think about this deal.

2018 x35i msport with driver assistant package, heated seats and steering, rear window shades, multi contour seats, and mocha interior design package.

Carbon black with mocha nappa leather.

It was an executive demo and had 8k miles.

Msrp was 73.5 k and they are asking 63k now. I think the discount should be more but not sure what to propose. Any help is appreciated.

A buddy of mine just got a 2018 35i listed at 60k for 46k + TTL if that helps. Brand new.

That's a 1 year old used car with 8k miles. I don't care if it's never been titled. It's used. Calling it "executive" is laughable. And it could have been a loaner car.
Price is too high.

I wouldn't give a penny over 60k. Those types of cars should be under 5k mi. With g05s out f15s should be lower.

Dealers are being kind of sticky so far. Wait till the new year or even just after Christmas, they will have to move them then.

should be lower than 60k, I would aim for 58k, well 59k Max.
Its more like used vehicle, 8k miles..........
I picked up mine 3 days ago much better deals than that with more option and lower miles.

Price is still way too high.

I know discounts/deals vary by region/dealer; however, with the G05 now out, and the model you want with 8K on the odometer, should knock at least another $5-8K off. I agree that the lack of title is neither compelling nor persuasive. “Executive demo” is also irrelevant. It’s used - plain and simple.

To offer some perspective, I was able to negotiate $10K off my 2018. That was back in February and it was brand new (not a demo/no miles).

A couple of years ago my 6 month old, never titled, "executive demo" 50i cost me 67k on a 82k window sticker. I know I overpaid for mine, but I had been looking nationwide for 7 months before I found the combination of options and colors I was looking for. 62k for what you are describing sounds high.

Thanks everybody. This was helpful. They won't deal on it that much so not going for that anymore. Really want a diesel but they have a stopsale on it for now due to the egr issue. May just wait.

Not a bad idea. Dealers don't seem to be giving the F15s away. If the deal isn't right, best to just walk away.

The dealers will deal on the cars they WANT to sell. As a business this means all cars, but they sometimes know the difference between special or sell.
