Stacked the racechip gts black with mppk

I just wanted to share my thoughts on this. AMAZING, what a difference not just in power but power delivery. The car is so smooth and effortless now compared to before. Torque is everywhere in almost any gear. Divability is so much better even in normal driving conditions. Highly recommend. Msport 35i.

Looks like you are close to me. I am in Cincy. Where did you purchase the MPPK or was it already installed when you got the x5? Do you have the MPE?

Thank you,
Jeff

I got the Bluetooth enabled one also which allows you to switch between maps or shut it off completely. Very cool. Simple install. The only plug that’s hard to get to is the cam sensor plug on the front of the motor. The other two are simple.

How is it "stacked". You're just changing how the computer mixes fuel, air, and boost, as well as shift points, correct? It's not like hardware + hardware + software.

Companies like burger motorsports And racechip refer to it as stacking when the bmw already has some form of an additional upgrade such as mppk. That’s what they said so that’s how I referred to it. Some people don’t think you can’t add on to a car that already has mppk unless you return it to stock. Just got back from driving. Huge difference in sport mode.

Congrats. I’ve been saying it for years, they’re a great combo.
Piggyback, stacked or whatever, it’s a great setup.
The app is handy, put it in ‘Race’ mode and leave it. HAH.

Thats cool. I have been looking for a diesel X5 for weeks now because I love the torque and mileage. Its hard to find one that checks all my boxes that I want. A lot more x35i's. Just curious , what type of mileage are you averaging while driving in sport mode often?
thanks glad you like it.

I only use Sport and Sport + while RC is set to Race mode. I get 18 city and 22-23 on road trips, I tend to have a heavy foot as well. I know this is the onboard computer calculation but it’s proven to be close to doing it the old school calculator method.
Getting 22.7mpg while averaging 73.3mph over 16 hours of driving is pretty impressive for this vehicle. IMO Obviously to average that high, I was hitting 90-100 at times. (This trip was with the RCU, before the GTS was released)

Since we are close to eachother, I would like to hear the exhaust if you don't mind. If you are ever around the Cincinnati, OH area.

I will get back to you on mileage. Racechip claims an increase and I can see how due to the increase in low end torque. You won’t have to be on it as hard as before.

Okay, yeah. I remember now. Sorry about that. It was a crazy time right around Thanksgiving. Hosted about 25 people at our house.

Anyways, I live in Anderson. But can meet you anywhere really. West Chester or north of there.

What can I tell you? Simply amazing...I think it’s the perfect combination for the X5. Comfort mode feels fine, in addition to smooth linear power increase. Sport mode unleashes the beast inside...wow!

I have it in map 5, RaceChip recommends this setting. I still have map 6 and 7. For now, I’m happy in map 5.
