Page 16 on the main muffler delete thread is where some of the other Houston guys mention a muffler shop they used. Not that it matters now but I had to find it.

Thanks for your kind words. The reason I did not see the post on the shop others used was, that post was the day after I did mine and I guess I quit reading that thread once I finally did mine.

Yup, I've added the mufflers to my Ebay watch list. If they have another 10-15% off deal, I'll jump on them.

Yup, I'll try and get to it tonight. Super annoying - just as you were starting it up, I had a call come through so it messed up the recording but I'll post what I can.

First impression is... Sound is deeper and only a little louder than the stock system even thought I as suspecting a bit more free flowing.

I think to describe it would be...Sounds like a bad ass sleeper hot rod, if you know what I mean.

There is NO drone, no pops, not much gurgle on decal.

To be honest I was hoping it would be just a bit louder but not as loud as the muffler delete. I am suspecting that the stock resonators have more muffler tendencies to them than just a resonator. That's why the muffler delete option still sounds good. Just too loud for my daily driving and taste.

I have only driven it about 25 miles and in traffic so have not had a chance to really break it in yet. I will not have time to try to do some sound bite videos until next week as I will be out of town for a bit.


My cost for this mod:

$230 Mufflers
$ 90 Magnaflow X Pipe
$120 Tips
$350 Install

$790 Total

Maybe this leaves me sound room to do the down pipes to pick up some ponies

Those tips looks fantastic, which ones are they? I may just do muffler delete and go with those.

Yes much better than stock. A little louder and deeper than the video shows.

A good balance between stock and muffler delete option others are doing.

That second clip sounds great! Idling sounds like a cold start up which is awesome, much better than stock. How does this compare to the Borla exhaust set up?
