Very cool - I never noticed that in the cars I looked at, but I looked at very few 17's and might have just missed it. I use on up at eye level anyway so I can use my phone for reference or maps, but that would indeed be pretty handy. Looks like it might interfere with the try I ordered though. I'll measure how deep it goes into the console when I get it and post it up and you can double check your depth. Worth a shot anyway.

well, i believe the 2nd link shows the size as... for sure it will interfere. but if you don't have inductive charging, you're good.

The one I ordered is deeper, but I saw a few shallower ones on Ebay I think.

Mine has the cell holder delete already (I assume - might have came that way from the factory?) I like to have my "stuff" close at hand and organized - I MAY be a little OCD about it..........

Just wondered if someone already found one better to keep me from recreating the wheel!

It works. I run cords to power my iPhone and my wife’s iPhone from a 12v charger in the console (or the USB port, which doesn’t adequately charge my iPhone if I keep it on, running Waze with the gps active). The lightning cables I use are faily thick 3ft Anker cables, and they don’t interfere too much with the storage tray or the doors closing unless they are blocking the latch. It’s not a big deal. My console is stil a mess, but that’s me.

As far as the storage container I do run the ebay one as well. Fits great and convenient for cables and accessing under it.

I am sure they are all made from the same mold. I like the separate compartments....assuming what I want to fit in them will fit in them. For $16 - it's worth a shot.

Came in today. Packaged very well and actually seemed like much better quality than I had thought. If it had been in the car when I bought it, I would have thought it OEM. It fit perfectly, but not so super tight that it would not come out easily. Just right. AND my flashlight did fit the spot I had hoped it would and the reason I picked this one to begin with. Very happy with it.

Also got my Maxpider 3D cargo area cover. I was worried as I knew the tan would not match my Oyster interior, but I think it compliments it nicely and looks better than the black would have. The fit is great just like in my last car. That one served me well for 4 years. Great product.

I wanted prime to make it easier to return if I didn't like it, and it was a buck cheaper. I think you can get them a couple of bucks cheaper on Ebay, but then you have to wait.....I'm not a great waiter - especially for $2.

Very few things are better than I had hoped, but this was. Rubber pads and nice and flexible and the try fits perfect. Even in the sun today it looks like it belongs there.

Amazon too of course! The one I have I got years ago for like $14. I expected a $14 flashlight, but this thing rocks. Holds it charge well even in a car and is super bright for its size.

Looks like this is the same one though.

Yep that's the one I got too. Nice! It's arrived and waiting for pickup. I have to then pack it carefully for my trip to Seattle to go pick up the X5.
