Did you just go with the MPerf kit? Missing out on the drilled/slotted rotors!

I did the coding myself. However, the brake system needed bleeding and changing the oil after I installed the used calipers. Otherwise there will be lots of air in system..

Nah, I got a good deal on those and I just did the fronts for now... maybe next time I will add F85 rotors front and back.

You should absolutely bleed the brakes with caliper removal. I think he was being sarcastic

Lol ya sorry. You said "however, the brakes needed bleeding" which sounded like you were surprised by this.

Got a quote for $150 to blast and powder the fronts. $110 for the rears. I'm torn cuz I kinda wanted to get them done red but if I do some variant or blue then I can keep the rears as is and just clean them up. Could care less or those arent perfect. Boone's looking at their tiny butts

Is that price per corner? If its per pair then I would jump all over that. I was getting quoted $450-500 total for all four so I decided to just paint them myself.

And honestly if you go with a common color like red or blue, you should just tackle the project yourself like Dush did. Just my opinion.

Ya it would be $260 for all 4. But I wanted to powder cuz I wanted the durability of the powder over paint. And I don't have access to blasting albeit I research a lot in hopes to do it all myself. Including powder and found it not feasible or economically sound. I will have to clear coat them and put the new decals on myself. Which should be fine. My wife has a vinyl cutting machine. Just not the best clear coat guy. I usually end up with runs. But I will go for like a candy red or something. If I can. With black ///M or brembo vinyl.

$260 is a steal for all of them. I probably would have jumped on that however I'm pretty excited to get my paint in and have some fun. I'll also be making my own decals - can't decide what I want to do there. I'd like to so something different than your everyday M or brembo but I'm not too creative and can't think of anything.

Dear god. $1000 to sand blast and squeeze a trigger for 10-20 min and then hang in a giant oven lol. Maybe 2 hours of work

Doing this Saudi style and powder coating with 24k gold flakes for that price.

Honestly, I was surprised at how well the g2 paint worked when I did mine. I went black so less defect show but definitely sufficed and glad I didn't spend the extra on powder coating

Gold is another option I was considering to powder coat. 😁

I considered that too! Then I just figured I'd grow a pair and get risky. I can always redo it if I hate it.

Lol that's what I did to my oem. Just wanted to protect them from rust and more or less hide them.
