Installing BlackVue 2CH dash cameras
Hi, guys. There are already many great posts about installing BlackVue dash cams. But none all of tells how to run the cable from front to back to connect the rear camera. Has anyone done this? What's the best route? Thanks.

The recommended route for the cable would be on the floor. When you run it through A and C pillars, via the top, you might obstruct the side curtain airbag deploying.

I’m getting ready to do exactly the same thing and have been wondering which is the best routing method. Looking forward to all those who have already done this and which choices they made.

I did my DR900s-2CH last week. Run the cable through the A pillar to the floor and followed the bottom to the trunk, then, fished the cable into tailgate. Works good so far.
NOTE: if you want to do the same, you need a longer coaxial cable than the factory one. Either purchase a 10m replacement, or buy a female to male extension (what I did). |

If anyone is interested in getting a great deal/discount on Blackvue cameras, including the new 4K 900S, PM me. I am NOT selling them nor am making anything off this. Just trying to pass on a good deal. I cannot post details publicly. If this is in violation of forum rules, my apologies and the mods can delete.

The power cable goes to a Vico-power plus (similar to power magic pro), which is wiring ACC on F47 and BATT on F38. Set cutoff voltage for 12.2V with 6hr timer. This is the optimal setting I found after some test. Otherwise, will get the "battery discharge" warning. |

the coax cable provides power and transmit data. if u fish the coax cable through the oem wire loom between the hatch and body, and give it enough slack, it will not fall or come loose. mines mounted on the trunk since install and no issues.

My Thinkware cameras are powered through the rear fuse box. I have wires connected to a cellink B under the trunk cover, and then ran the wires along the roof liner, through the black tubing where all the other cables go for the rear trunk door, under the plastic cover (that houses the rear door brake light) and drops down in the middle for my camera, which is mounted high up in the midline of the rear trunk door.

Fuse numbers in the rear fuse box
Can you all share what fuse numbers you have used for the installation with Power Magic Pro? F107 and F162 seem like a popular option for setup with the parking mode.
