Who Installed Your Dinan Exhaust

This question is for those with the Dinan exhaust. Have most of you had aa dealer install your exhaust or did you buy it yourself and go to a speed shop? I have a local dealer offering $2300 installed for the exhaust seems like a great price. Should I go for it through the dealer?

If you own I would go the cheapest route providing it's a reputable shop.

If you're leasing I would only go through an authorized dealer so you have no warranty issues or issues returning the vehicle with "aftermarket parts". My local dealership will allow me to return my leased F85 with any/all dinan parts as long as it was installed by them or an authorized dealer with receipt. If not, I have to remove it prior to returning it so pay for labor a second time.

Yea I won it, but $2300 installed seemed like a pretty good price. Lowest I found the exhaust itself for was around $2000 I think.

Do they give you money for the dinan parts when you turn in a leased vehicle? if not, why light that money on fire?

Definitely could be valid. I was admittedly looking at it through the lens of suspension where parts are $500 and labor is almost $500 so paying for install to put back stock suspension for sale price for used suspension you’d be losing money. I have no idea what a $2k exhaust system with 30k miles through 3 winters would sell for but depending on install costs maybe you’d make some money returning to stock.
