H&R lowering springs

Afternoon all,

I ordered the H&R springs and spacers from Turner this week. I'll be installing them this coming week. Was wondering if anyone had some pics of what the X5M looks like with them installed. Thanks in advance

By all reports, they make the car bouncy.

Sure you don’t want to return them and buy the H&R VTF?

Not too much extra but does a better job it seems.

Lol, seriously?
You are asking after you made the purchase?

There are some pictures in this forum or in the internet.
If you can find and order the spacer sizes that you need, you should be able to use internet search engine.
Just make sure that you are not using Netscape to search on Altavista search engine.

Oh, sorry that you got offended.
It was purely a suggestion.

But it is 100% sure funny, that you are asking after the purchase was made.

Just curious what other rides looked like. I'm on mobile and the search function on the app isn't all that good.

Sure the forum search function is not the best.
But with trusty Google, here is one of the result from the search.

https://europeanautosource.com/blog/...ring-1115.html

Enjoy.

Lol he's got a point man. It was a bit curious and seems you didn't search before making this purchase as maybe 2 people have actually been "ok" with the performance of the Normal springs. The VTF is where it's at especially if you want the low look of the HR over the eibach or AC Schnitzer.

If you just type in "HR Springs" the 8th post down (Lowered X5M) has picks of the VTF which give a similar drop but better performance and are adjustable

Love the VHF, however I have the lowest setting when i first install them, it was way too bouncy on the rear, my final drop is about 1.5 inch rear right now

Based on all the pics I’ve seen H&R springs leave the rear a little lower than the front and while this is personal preference I think generally speaking people like an even stance or slight front rake. That’s why I went H&R VTF and can adjust as much as I want.

Return them or cancel the transaction. You will turn your X5M into the most expensive pogo stick. There are far better options out there that will not sacrifice the ride for a negligible difference in pricing. The labor is the same for any brand but the "savings" will quickly be lost on labor for doing the job of installing and them removing.

you can adjust the rear link to set your height. but will take some time to get it done.

Some mod by trial and error, and goes about modding differently than others. Me personally, I lurk a forum to death doing searches on top of searches and collect my information on everything before I purchase a thing.

Gatoferoz25, my god, you nailed it with your drop!!
