Will these fit?
I located a set of used wheels dirt cheap near me I'd like to put these on my 2016 X5 and install snow tires.
When I went on to the tire rack website and I input a 2016 X5 - when I try to select 18 inch wheels it gives me the option to select 255-55-18 all around or I can go wider 285-55-18 the rear. I'm assuming if I purchased those wheels since all the wheels are the same with I would be running 255-55 all the way around.... i'm not looking to run a staggered set up unless there's some reason why I should do that. Will these wheels fit on my 2016 X5?? will I need spacers or any other adapters to make them fit and work properly??

2013 X5. E70.
This is referred to as wheel style 210 I believe Offset is 46mm The owner pulled them off his vehicle and upgraded to M sport wheels.. I have actually seen quite a few similar looking sets all over Southern California on craigslist eBay and offer up etc. I am not worried about cosmetics or style I am going to put snow tires on whatever I buy and I'll run them on my car only for a couple weeks out of the year. When I take the family up the mountain to go into the snow for the week I don't want to have my 20 inch summer tires sliding off the road so I'm looking to get a pair of dedicated snow tires and wheels as cheap as possible. These things will fit my ex five I can get an inexpensive set of snow tires online for around 100 bucks a tire. Sumitomo ice edge are like $98 each shipped. I'm not gonna worry about run flats on a set of tires I'm only going to use two weeks out of the year My 20 inch wheels are staggered these 18 inch wheels would be square all the way around I don't mind if they look ugly or look wimpy — I know they are not going to look anything like my 20s in a staggered set up but for snow tires they're going to be covered in slush and mess I'm not worried about appearances. I just want to make sure these are going to fit when I get to the sellers location I can always take one of my wheels off and attempt a test fit but I thought I'd get a consensus on line here before I made the drive and the hassle

According to this web page, your vehicle year had stock wheel offsets from 37 to 48, so a 46 should bolt straight on fine if the center bore matches up....I think it does, but verify.

Centre bore on E70 is 72mm on one axle and 74.1mm on another. F15 got 74.1 on both axles.

Wheels should bolt up. I'd be concerned about clearing the brake calipers. Do you have a 35i? It may clear. But won't clear the 50i i believe. |

The 18s will look tiny but I'm only going to have these on the car for a couple weeks out of the entire year for my trips out of Southern California up into the snow.
I am more concerned with getting snow tires as cheap as possible with cosmetics being my least consideration. I can get a set of Sumitomo ice edge tires for about $400 out the door plus install - anything in a 19 inch is going to be more as will the wheels. My 20s look nice the rest of the year!

Looks like they will...but....
According to this chart:
https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1557495 They are both 5x120 bolt pattern and both have 74.1mm center bore - so they should fit ASSUMING you do not have big brakes than the 18" wheel will not clear. This chart DOES say they use different TPMS sensors though, so if they come with those wheels you will have to get new ones. Like you said - who cares what they look like - they are for snow tires and will just make you appreciate how nice your other wheels look when you put them back on. The best snow wheels are the cheapest snow wheels! =)

I was debating about whether I should spend the money to get a set up or if I should just try to get the tire shop to install them and skip the sensors. I am trying to do this set up as cheap as possible I'm also probably going to skip the run flats and just get regular tires. I do not have a spare so I'll just have to rely on roadside assistance if I get a flat.... all of my trips to snow are to places where I will never be very far from a major city or tire service... When I finally score my wheels and tires I'll let you know I just spoke with the seller of the wheels and he's going to give me the entire set of 18 inch wheels for 150 bucks.

Bought the wheels! They have Pirelli all seasons installed in them now with about 40% tread left.
I scored a great deal I got all four wheels with the tires for $150! One tire has a slight scratch defect on the front which would bother me if I was buying these for 365 day usage but given that they're going to be snow tires you'll never see it through the mud and slush! I found a set of sumitomo ice edge snow tires for $395 shipped! I'll wind up with a dedicated winter setup for under $600.
