G05 Release Date???
As stated in the past the tentative debut of the new X5 has been slated for "Summer 2018". Is there anything more accurate or specific than that?

I'm assuming the new G05 will make it's official debut within the next few months, I'd say by May definitely. Hopefully taking orders starting July/August for Sept/Oct deliveries.

Production will begin in August and the official launch will be anywhere from the end of October to the mid of November. This is solely based upon other new models released in the past as well as the release of the all new 2018 G01 X3 which began production in August of 2017 at Plant Spartanburg.
Edit: We should see an official G05 debut in June. |

Thank you gentlemen for the information. I am hoping to see something official soon and not just mule photos with their road-camo on. Debating on new full size RR that I have deposit on or the new X5.
This seems to be the most logical and realistic rendering yet but again would love to see the real life production model.

Yah that pic looks like the X3 m340i. If the X5 just looked like a larger X3 it would look pretty good. Unfortunately I don’t think that’s going to be th case.
The thread in the G05 forum has a pretty decent recent render. A good bit of the camo cladding has been removed in recent spy shots and you can now see the terrible looking body line down the side of it.

But Audi/ MB seem to be going down that route, so I’d expect BMW to. |

Sorry, to clarify. When comparing to the current renders and spy pics, I’d rather have it look like a larger X3 over what the renders are showing.

If you see some by the dealerships please post a photo or two.
I thought it was a rendering of an X5 using the X3 with a plus one effect but I guess not. Thank you for clarifying.

Ah, ok. I’ve not seen any renders or spy pics. I just hope they make it look different to the X3, not just a bigger version.

Here are some photos from the G05 Forum:
Latest spy shot from PalBay - notice horrible line on the side, and also look behind the front wheel well closely and you will see styling that looks like the X7 (2nd photo, from X7 forum). Also pics from a render that could be close to reality. Don't shoot the messenger... |

The last two photos look like an X3 as well or at least to me.

Major complaint with the Range Rover (especially the LWB) is the large doors immediately lose their practicality in parking lots and garages...

That recent palbay spy pic looks like an M-Sport. Painted skirts, fender flares, black trim, roof rails and more aggressive front bumper.

So the first 2 are the X7?

I find ridiculous the fact that the doors are still not covering the car's side all the way down, as to protect the sides from dirt, so you don't get the trousers dirty when stepping in or out of the car.

SERIOUSLY! 3 E70s and now 2 F15s....and the running boards look great, but just get your pants even dirtier if you did not have running boards. E70 and F15, awesome looking suvs, but dang....no way to exit w/o running your pants on the car. No joke, I only wear super dark jeans and pants now...anything light is not possible with F15!
