Low-dust break pads?

Would love for anyone, including vendors, to suggest any Low dust brake pads for the f85! I have searched and even contacted a vendor or two(Hawk) and no one has them....at least until next year sometime..... I personally hate ALL BMW pads as the have such tremendous brake dust and have replaced pads on all my Beemers.....I don't even mind some noise either!

I just looked and Brembo makes the Ceramic pads, but just for the rear of our f85/f86. Couldn't find anything for the fronts. I'm still looking and see what else I can find. I will update with p/n as soon as I get them.

I found this website that carries both the fronts and rears. I need to confirm with them that they are indeed for the f85, but I put 2015 X5M and it brought these different set of pads.

I contacted Carbotech last month and this is the reply I received...

"My vendors are showing no availability on the front pads for your car right now. It is likely just too new. I'm assuming you do not have an old set off of the car just yet. Do you know if you can acquire an old set from your dealer or local garage? We would put our low dust friction material on those old backing plates and you would be all set. We do already have the rear pads, BMW used an existing pad shape that is pretty common. They went with something new on the front."

I ordered a set of Disc Italia Hyper Ceramic for 2014 audi s7, and there were absolutely amazing pads. Very little dust, and really good in terms of bite and squeal. I was getting ready to place an order but than i was think my 16 x6m still has the service pkg and ill just probably deal with the dust. I know it sucks, like hours after a wash the rims are already dusty.

I am hoping the new OEM pads will be less dusty, in addition to the supposed reduction in squeaking.

Glad to hear someone has tried these, I'm checking to see if they have a pad that works for us...

Apparently the pads they currently have on there site the HC1429 are not the correct pads for the fronts. They will be receiving the correct pads this friday. The correct pads are actually 95 bucks more than what's listed.

Still breaking them in so no real comments yet. Will post back in a week. So far ok. Not as aggressive as oem, they do squeal a bit on complete stop, but I had that on these pads on my s7 as well until they bedded in.

Do you have that part # for the correct one?

Just ordered, they still seem confused on the part #, but will reconfirm Monday and send the applicable one. I told them you already had them on your X5M so HC1738 should be correct.

I am taking my F85 in today to have the Disc Italia Hyper Ceramic pads installed on front and back

Of course it will be hard to test brake noise when there's five feet of standing water everywhere...but one day it will be dry enough
