Got the car back, stopping power seemed fine in wet city driving. But that also means there's no way to gauge squealing yet...

Pads are getting better as they are breaking in. They do have a softer pedal feel, and less initial bite. So far very little dust. Also seem to get better with heat build up, but I suppose that's with all Ceramic pads. Hard to tell on noise as it is on the cooler side and I have my windows closed. Don't really hear anything at the moment.

Still wet and rainy here but I have yet to hear a single peep from my pads since the swap to ceramics.

Just ordered a set of the Disc Italia's. I've just about had it with the factory brakes squealing every day.

Reporting in, so not really happy with this application of the pads. On my s7 they were great. Here they have much less bite, and right now as they heat up they squeal really bad. Light application of the brakes to hard they squeal. Also I dont like how soft the pedal now feels compared to the oem. I will be calling brakeworld sometime next week to see what can be done. Plus side, much less dust.

This spray works well at keeping my wheels clean with the OEM brake pads: http://www.armorall.com/products/whe...dust-repellent

I sent out email, to see if they have any recommendations, but I myself am a bit disappointed as I used these pads before on different vehicles and loved them. Unfortunately that's not the case with this application. I have a strong feeling Ill be reverting back to stock.

I wanted to update the group on pads. I talked to a tech at Hawks and they have the PC pads for the rears (ceramics). But not yet for the fronts. He said that they are coming out with the front pads PC early February. These are a lot better than any other pads that I've used in the past. I have a set of PC on my '09 e02 M3 and I love them. No noise what so ever. Really low dust. Initial bite is a little soft, but only when they are cold. They bite really hard and they are very rotor friendly. I will let everyone on this group know or update this post once I get a part number from Hawks.

See what I'm getting is that even same brand pads will feel and act very differently when being compared in different applications. On my old audi s7 the disc italia were great. On the x6m not good at all.
