This is somewhat correct but this affects all size rims/tires to some degree. The issue is not alignment or rim/tire selection but rather the aggressive rear camber to improve handling of the vehicle. Common issue with German cars regardless of brand, from what I understand. I had this happen on both my stock 19” rims with winter tires as well as my 22” summer setup with high performance tires so not sure it’s avoidable. If you have a squared setup, you can rotate the baks to the front every few months which will delay this 1.5” wear strip on the inside of the tires. That shared, you should start with a shop that focuses on suspension or can check the geometry. Hope that helps!
Thanks for your answer bro.

Yeah, somehow people tells that even with proper alignment and toe inner still wears out fast.
I mean im keeping stock suspension and ride height. Just adding 22" rims. I just dont want to throw away almost 1.7k in a set of toyo proxes stIII . Since my country dont know why in heck the tires are so expensive

I suppose its a byproduct of aggressive suspension geometry and something that you have to expect driving a highline german vehicle. You rim/tire choice moving from stock to 22” does not make it any difference. Like I shared, I had this happen to 19” stock wheels/winter tires as well as a forged 22” aftermarket wheel setup. Same tire location (rears) and the worn strip was nearly identical in location on each tire as well as the width of damage for both wheel/tire combos. So if the cost of replacing tires with your current setup is daunting than moving up to 22”s is only making it worse, more expensive. So, as my mother always said, you have to pay to play or in other words expensive toys are expensive. Don’t make the leap if it’s too costly.

I guess it depends on what you are comparing it to. Heavy RWD cars will theoretically always wear a little faster than say a Honda. If you are worried about inner tire wear just flip the tires once you start seeing uneven wear. All of my bmws, aside from my x5, have had pretty aggressive camber and i still got good mileage out of all of them.

I think toe has more to do with tire wear than camber, at least in my experience

Have you had any xdrive transfer case issues with your tire setup given you are at 1.4% difference for circumference?

Are any of you guys with xdrive running the 295/335 setup and have you been successful avoiding transfer case issues? That's the setup I want to get with new 22's but am nervous about the 1.4% difference since it is greater than the supposed 1% limit.

Yes. Just get the TC serviced and it should be fine. Lots of people on the F85/F15 platform do it

Just looked through this whole resurrected post to admire everyone's pictures, but was left disappointed by OP never posting if they got new wheels. So unsatisfying.
