'Nice QC on my 4K set of winters'

This is the kind of stuff that really damages my brand loyalty.

Brand new. $4K set of winters I just purchased. Completely defective tire included at no extra charge.

Nice job BMW. Now I have to second guess everything I buy or have done.

I will be going into Facebook for BMW N.A. and let them know my thoughts. Perhaps they will help expedite a replacement in advance of the snow coming Tues.

Geez Louise; you didn't notice it before installing? Contact the vendor or dealer you purchased through first.

Looks to be a defective belt?
You'll have to deal with Pirelli directly, not BMW.

These were part of my CPO purchase. BMW best simply swap that tire out and they can deal with Pirelli. I unwrapped these from the factory packaging and put them straight on car. We'll find out tomorrow.

Very much this. I'd be pissed too but just call them or drop in and tell them to fix it.

When I bought my winter set last week I picked them up, they were bagged and because I was in a rush, didn't check them myself. Got home and they gave me three rear tires and one front... so I didn't mount them.

I emailed my sales guy and SA, asked for it to be fixed ASAP. They had a driver bring me the new wheel and take back the old one a day later. Not a big deal but definitely an inconvenience.

If your dealer isn't willing to help, call BMW NA but if you're just ripping pissed, call your Sales guy or SA to handle it. It shouldn't be a big deal to have it swapped.

If BMW never fitted them, and they were still in packaging, how is it there fault? There's no way they'd know a belt is gone until it's inflated.

Be annoyed at Pirelli, not your dealer.

Follow the tire circumference....it's a softball size bulge in tread.

I don't expect any hassle. Simply shouldn't happen.

Kudos to my dealership who turned my defective tire replacement around in one day. Problem resolved just in time for 10 degree weather.
