Has anybody performed the "OEM Exhaust Mod" on a F85/F86?

My muffler guy said he do it for me but I'd have to bring him an additional muffler. He wouldn't try on my stock cans. Should sound rougher but my car already sounds pretty loud without the resonators. 🤷🏽

I've actually done this to my F86 with catless downpipes. I'll be back home on the 15th of Sept after which I can send a sound clip.

I just replaced the perforated pipe with a straight pipe. There is a slight drone in the cabin and some rasp but overall i'm happy with the overall sound.

Yup just resonator. No drone. Besides my music is always loud so I don't notice but then again some Debussy was in the playlist the other day and no drone. I'll post a clip.

I disabled ASD and unplugged the exhaust valve plug when it was open. Sounds perfect as it's real exhaust notes, especially when the windows are down.

I disabled ASD from bimmercode and most of the time I drive in Sports+ so valves are always open. Its still quite on our cars. wish bmw made exhaust tone on M cars sounds like those AMGs lol

BMW definitely missed the mark on our exhaust note. My C63 sounded far better in sport +.
