I'm not going to remind about silly things you know better than me - like turning off DSC etc. Vlado did you flash it with BPC proprietary cable? What I'm saying is that in theory you can probably flash it back and forth between stock oem flash and BPC Stage 1 - so we can see the real gains and put yet another mystery to an end. However, I do realize this isn't realistic as you need time for DME to adapt, besides no one is going to wait for you on dyno while you'll be flashing car back and forth. Don't mind me - I'm just thinking loudly |

Oh Vlado, I almost forgot - if they can read boost (like some dynos can provide that value as well on the graph - like max boost that was achieved during dyno runs) - that would be great! We'll have a reference point for the future plans.

I will be honest with you ... I did flashed the DME myself with BPC cable obdII ... it is about 25 minutes to go stock and then another 25 to get tuned again to stage 1. In Chicago area i was not able to find dyno that they are open on Saturday's. they are all off weekends . Most of the tuners are till 5pm . P&L are till 6... i highly doubt i will have time to do that , but i will try get as much information as possible

Well , here is. I will have to contact BPC. Not sure how to explain but when AC is on after 4.5k RPM car start shaking a bit. Its like not enough airflow or too much. When AC is off nothing is wrong and there is torque increase. Hp are all the same with AC ON-OFF. So i guess is about a little adjustment. There is no more details unfortunately. No boost pressure, No temperature etc ... after all happy with the numbers and hope will help you too

Well - 485awhp and 602awtq! Stock X5M F85 puts down 517whp and 543wtq. You are basically at the X5M level right now! Just a bit under with hp, but above with torque. Vlado what fuel you were using? Do you have X5M air filters installed? So close breaking 500awhp with just a tune on regular pump fuel. P.S. So the good thing is that in the future if you'll feel like it - you can just update your tune with Bob for much less money. That's what I'm going to do in August. Going to push for 20psi or 21psi. 21psi can be achieved with our stock tmap sensor - so no need to change anything. I'll do Dynojet this time too. I'll probably add meth kit for cooling and octane boost purpose. Last edited by DuSh; 06-15-2018 at 08:48 PM.. |

He can also add a bit more higher octane fuel (for 1/4 run) or booster and tune will adjust timing a bit more - so I'm sure he can be at 500awhp either with a octane booster added to the tank or maybe a gallon of race gas (100 octane) added. I remember times when 500whp was holy grail that few could reach. Now it's doable with almost just a tune lol. Amazing. P.S. This is why I'm going to try meth kit - as it raises even 91 octane to up to 100 octane easily. It also cools IATs and cleans valves and pistons - basically never need to do a walnut blast. Tho I have no idea how true it is - I'm just speculating on what is written on n54tech forum. |

The M filters are larger on the front that the stock 50i filters so yes. But they're smaller than dinan. Not sure which you're referring too.

Question for everyone regarding the numbers...bpc's website shows 474whp and 514wtq .... Vlado's was is roughly the same who but TQ is so much more, what would be the reason for that's? It can't be just the x5m filters

It could be the way the dyno is calibrated, but yeah does seem a little high even for a dynojet which do read the highest of most dyno’s. On a awd vehicle putting down 600 awtrq to the wheels would be over 700 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel which is over 200 more then stock

I just looked at BPC posted dyno graph for the n63tu 347/399 and those seem pretty low for dynojet , considering the flywheel rating is 445/480 and probably under rated estimate at best from bmw. Also if the test vehicle was rwd they should of been even high because of less drive train loss 2 vs 4.
