Yeap i have the same diagram. As you see here ICM and KAFAS2 gets connected thru S Can H and L from the ACC sensor, So ICM is located under the center console. And you have to reach to the ICM 32 and 33 pins in order to make the connection. If ICM already have the Pin 32 and 33 feeded then yes you dont have to remove the console you can simply find this S CAN cables thru junction box controller and tap them. But if there is no cable routed there you have to remove the console.

Is there any way to determine this ahead of time ? I have KAFAS2 with parking assistant and surround view.

I haven’t heard much mention of the DSC in these more thorough walkthroughs you guys are doing. Did you already have the premium + ACC version or did you find out that the premium version will work?

You need the version of DSC that says DSC premium + ACC

Thank you Blue, I believe you had a similar setup to me. Did you have to change your DSC ? If I recall you had parking assistant as well.

If you have 5DP you have DSC ACC no doubt!

No, I don't have to change DSC or ICM. Look at the start of this thread for the parts for the wiring.

Second ACC Radar just shipped with UPS. Hopefully will have it soon. The surface little rough and the plug part partially broken but i steal it basically. All can be recovered. Will share here before after pictures as well. DIY on a DIY

Last piece of the puzzle is the F85 knee pads which I will swap since the center console is out

The lost package arrived today. Now i have 2 sensor! I will get busy this weekend

You are one step ahead of me. I will first remove the front bumber and install the sensor and cables. Then i will start doing the inside part. Please share the steps for the interiror removal. I can write it down under the Steps. i have found somewhere but your experience might be different!

I haven't removed the center console yet. Waiting for the knee pads to arrive

Latest SW you mean? Cause i can flash it either on the bench or on the car to latest no problem. BE2 is used on F series mostly F15/16. If you meant FRR-02 thats Long range doesnt work with SA5AT it only works with SA5AU and 5AU requires different lane assist sensors as far as i know. But both front SRSNVL and HRSNR also short range behind the bumpers. If we have the same parts with G series on there yes FRR02 (FRSF) can be used to do the 5AU retrofit. But the ilevel has to be lifted to 2020.

After successfully doing this retrofit it wont be hard to swap and program the vehicle for the FRR-02 down the road. Just to let everyone know is SA5AU also includes SA5AR so you need to remove that option from VO if you are planning to do that instead of SA5AT with TJA.

Did you make any progress over the weekend? I soldered and shrink wrapped my connectors for the harness. I'll take the bumper off tonight and mount the sensor, and leave the wiring coiled next to the abs pump till I can take out the console and route it to ICM/Kafas

I will most probably keep the buttons and will overwrite the M1 and M2 with the ACC option. If you notice G series, it comes with the Red M1,M2. So there will be a sacrifice there i think. But you never know, we might come up with something that supports all 4

I am located in Parkland, So FL
