I've only had my F85 for a couple weeks, but I'm still amazed at what a car of this size/weight is capable of.

150 HP and AWD go a long way in a drag race.

Isn't the stock 1/4 mile 12.1? Palm beach drag strip? Sounds like sea level to me.

Maybe I was thinking of x6m number. I think it is a tenth or so different than x5m.

True but also keep power to weight in mind because the X weighs 1000 pounds more. With that said I wash scats all the time lmao.

The Challenger 60' time with only a 113 trap seems like he/she was on slicks. When I went to the strip with my M3, they were running mid-13s and higher due to traction issues. Traps were similar.

Sorry for being snarky but...not very impressed with the BMW performance.

I don't think anyone's boasting I think it was more or less the comparison of the two. And don't even start this debate because we all are well aware you're not paying $115k for drag strip monster. The dodge is quick in a straight line and sounds good. And if you ask me 40k for a dodge is way overpriced

Air temperature plays a role too. RT is naturally aspired so hot air doesn't make as much difference. I personally noticed that my tuned f16 is around 0.4 seconds slower in the summer if Im doing 0-60 runs with the draggy.

This one is on street tires. On a radial they cut 1.6x 60 foots all day. Though I’d expect more from the tuned X5M. Maybe DA/conditions were really bad that day.

When my charger scat pack was stock it went 12.0@115 on just a street legal nitto radial. Simple tune went mid 11 and then with a small shot 10.80.

Not really even close to the same vehicle you raced. The newer 2015+ 392 ZF 8 speed cars are much faster than the old generation SRTs with the 5 speed.

I am very surprised that dodge got to 60' first, this should have been murder. Dodge might have been on slicks.

I raced a scappack charger and rolled away so easily

the point of the X5M is that its still an X5 - nice utility. Can drive the family around in it. cart stuff. gets over the ridiculous pot-holes in the northeast. can hop-curbs in the city when needed.

and its faster than most of these "sport" cars in most conditions. 0 compromise car.

The POINT of the post/comparison is the fact that the SAV can pull sport car numbers. And it's impressive. But there's always someone that turns to the pocket book comparison. Just because a vehicle costs "X" amount doesn't mean it's fast/slow. And when you mention your sorry/ or not trying to come off a certain way means you already admittedly are. LoL

Drag radials are still not standard street tires. Your 12.0 at 115 shows that your launch was fantastic. Many people at the track are running their cars on stock street tires, spinning, and running right past 13's. The M3/4 magazine times are low 12's but they are closer to 120 which is more of what you would expect. When I see cars running 112s, etc those are not flat 12 second cars unless they have AWD or are getting help with drag tires.
