I agree! I was prepared to order from scratch and wait the 8-9 weeks to take delivery. I lucked out in that the dealership that I bought from had one already being built for them in the same specs that I wanted but also included B&O stereo and smartphone integration. I could care less about the phone integration but B&O was one that I was on the fence. I got a great deal for the car and now I am set to take delivery this Friday! Yes, the wait is the worst for sure.

And...production begins. In my experience tracking my M3 and M5, the site lags, so it very well may be complete by now. I have actually been very patient with this process, I remember back in the day I was so neurotic, would call/email the dealer incessantly. My service adviser is now the General Manager at the dealership so I keep my calls to a minimum since hes obviously got bigger fish to fry.
What sort of timeline did you guys on the east coast see from when the BMWUSA tracking went into production and delivery? Couple weeks?

The site doesn't seem to go though the same changes as it did a few years ago. It went from in production to finishing touches and the next thing I knew it was at the dealer. I too used to do both the call in and the check the website many times a day looking for the status changes. It's a disease... |

Does auto start/stop default to off in the F85? Or does it remember last setting, or only via coding?

I hate auto start/stop - if I cared about emissions or MPG I shouldnt have an X5M probably. Glad to hear, my M5 was this way, my 911 is as well but I hear the new 911s just rolled out with it ON at start up and unable to be coded off. Got worried the X5M would be that way as well.

Dropped by BMW today and was given a print out of my status - completed and released to carrier with a Dealer ETA of 4/18. On a side note, I was originally slotted for an end of March delivery but that allocation must have been filled or something, glad it did because the sales GM at dealership who I am dealing with told me about a hail storm that hit the SC plant mid March.
"More than 1600 Spartanburg US Production X3, X4, X5, and X6 vehicles were damaged in a hail storm at the plant. The vehicles have been placed on a vehicle hold while the plant repairs them using Paintless Dent Removal (PDR). It may take two months to complete repair work for all vehicles, sold vehicles are being prioritized. On a daily basis the plant will provide the VINs that have been repaired, routed through final inspection, QC'd and are ready for shipping. " I for one would not accept a new car that had PDR.

Speaking of hail.
http://www.kens5.com/money/consumer/...ship/131212210
So if your car is in for service/repair and the dealership parks it outside during a hail storm, are they responsible at all? Or is that on your insurance? The article said there were a bunch of customer's cars that were damaged. |

Wife thinks she wants the X6m. My M5 lease is up later this year so trying to figure out what I'm going to do. Did you have a C63 as well? I was on mbworld when I had my w204. I will say the new coupe is pretty darn sexy. That rear end! |

I had a '14 C63 (and was on the forums). And I DAMN near was gonna get a '17 C63 coupe. Beautiful car. Well worth the money, too.

I may be too, but having driven (and absolutely loved) the new AMG GTS at the AMG driving academy, I'm still on the hook somewhat potentially for another AMG in the future. The GTS was a fantastic drive. Sorry,
