That's where my concern is - why bother if the difference in sound is so minimal?
I guess for 2k for USA buyers, it's a good move. However converted to AUD and shipped, it's 4K AUD ($3k USD). |

With the exchange rate, shipping, etc. I would leave it stock or cut it open and solid pipe the valved pipes to make it louder only when the valves are open. 7 hp is within Dyno error at these HP levels.

Or figure out a flexible tube with a 360 spray nozzle on the end to insert into each valved pipe and spray seal to seal off the perforations "making" it a straight pipe. Hmmmm

Again, I choose Dinan for the one step above OEM sound. Again, I can't appreciate a loud sound coming from a exhaust that's annoying, I like the way Maserati has tuned their exhaust. Rumble with a sweet sound coming from that Italian motor! Each to their own sound.......

jpsjr70 was spot on with his commentary. The one thing i would like to add to is the smoothness factor. By smooth he means face ripping acceleration like you're on a bunji slingshot ride at great adventure. Also - it sure does make me laugh outloud when the car is still pulling HARD through 6,000 RPM ... whereas before the power was dying off noticeably. I LOVE IT! And the exhaust sounds throaty yet refined. Looks wise - it's bad ass. I honestly was skeptical about the length but now I think the factory tips were too tucked in. Strangely, because they are not rolled tips - they look big. Very happy customer.
Thanks Dinan_Engineering for putting together a great product combo. I feel like i have a new car again! And of course thank you Golan @autotalent for hooking me up!! |
