Problem with MP3 files on USB device

Hi guys!

I have problems when playing audio files on the USB device.
Some recently added files (on the USB stick) are duplicated and are also read twice.
It's very annoying to listen to each title twice.
Does anyone has had this problem and how can we solve it?
I read that when you plug a USB device, the system records some data and that the system can support up to 5 different USB devices.
After the fifth, the data are erased.
Is that the solution?

Note: I did not import the files on the hard disk drive. The files are only on the USB key.

Thanks for your help!

Yeah, of course (see attached pdf).
I have modified some tags on the MP3 files and maybe that is the Problem...
I will try to copy the files on an other stick to check if the Problem is still here.

yeah, that is odd. Not sure how you modified the tags but I and others have used "tag & rename" program with success. I'd try another thumb drive, too. And maybe reformat the drive that is showing duplicates. In general, I keep all my music files either on my iPhone (which are automatically arranged by iTunes, of course, and recognized without a problem by the BMW system), or in folders, tagged correctly (I listen to FLAC lossless files as well) and haven't had a problem. At least thumb drives are super inexpensive! Good luck!

Thanks a lot!!!
I use "MP3tag" and it works pretty well.
It's the first time I Encounter this Problem...

I will try an other drive... and then I will fight to disconnect the ASD plug and it will be fine
