Heavy vibration from car/steering wheel when letting off the throttle

Greetings,

My car has roughly 3000 miles and this morning it began to vibrate when letting off the throttle at low speeds. The vibration is felt through the steering wheel and in the seat. The closest thing I can describe it to is braking with warped rotors.fIt makes a similar sound and it is felt in the cabin. My wheels and tires are perfect. When initially pressing the brake pedal, there is an unfamiliar feeling and a slight vibration but not as pronounced as when simply letting off the throttle.

Please share your thoughts as I am concerned.

I read the post about the wheel bearings and I dont hear a clicking or clacking sound.

It's the rotors, the dealership will replace them and the pads.

Yup, the shop foreman drove it and said the rotors needed to be replaced.

Similar steering wheel wobbling happened to me years ago in a Grand Cherokee.

In my case the reason turned out to be my stupid insistence to often strongly pump the brake when stopped, to catch up with the longer pedal travel as brake pads got thinner.

This once brought one front pad to remain slightly but constantly pressed against the rotor: at sustained highway speed the rotor finally overheated, warped somewhat and the steering wheel started to wobble more and more, quite disconcerting.

Stopping the car, I was lucky to see a little smoke from the brake. I removed the wheel, levered the brake pad a little away from the rotor and drove off.

The rotor kept a little permanent warp, but I lived with it until the next brake & rotor change.

Warping can occur after heavy braking (hot rotors) and then keeping the pads pressed on the rotors. Has this happened? One reason not to apply parking brake after heavy braking and to let rotors cool if one decides to bed down the brakes.

The lug bolts were not torqued properly on the left and right rear wheel !
I discovered this after 2 days of pondering what it was.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen .

Dude that is bad. The dealer did it? You may want your lugs, wheels and suspension checked.

I had each wheel removed, bolt threads inspected, hub threads inspected and hubs. Everything is ok.
