Unicorn Found? X5 xdrive 50i Msport with Active Suspension

I'm in the market for a used X5 50i with Msport package and I'm super excited to have came across one with Active M Suspension.

Out the door i'm just over $43,000.

Year: 2014
Mile: 39,000
CPO until 4/20

Key Packages:
P337A M Sports package
S2VFA Adaptive M suspension
S2VPA Adaptive suspension package 'Dynamic'
S402A Electric panoramic roof
S6F2A Bang&Olufsen High End Surround Sound
S6UKA Night Vision with human recognition

S710A M leather steering wheel
S715A M Aerodynamics package

Only option that I'm really missing from a desire standpoint is the vented seats which I can live within even though I'm in Texas.

What do you guys think of the deal? I can easily find something cheaper with all of the above, but no active suspension. (Just trying to justify if spending the extra $$ is worth it. So far, I believe it it, but haven't driven it other than in a test drive.)

Thanks in advance.

It's a good deal IMHO. Can you elaborate for a moron like me is that S2VFA option - DHP or not?

No, 2VF does not include DHP.
2VP has DHP.

Ah, I see. Well, it's still a good deal I think

Ops, wait a minute, he also has S2VPA - is that something else? I'm just trying to figure out if he has DHP or not lol.

OP I guess you did found unicorn. What year and color? Starting from 2015 BMW changed gear ratios in ZF8 transmission and you get 0.1-0.2s faster 0-60 if that matters to you.

P.S. The only downside is that in case of leak/failure you'll have to deal with expensive repairs (DHP isn't cheap to fix I would imagine). I would still jump on this offer anyway.

OP. May want to check the VIN decoder. According to 2014 price guide..ZDH is DHP.

ZDH Dynamic Handling Package
2VM Dynamic Damper Control + rear axle air suspension
2VP Dynamic Performance Control + Active Role Stabilization ZDH will delete ZSU when ordered with ZMM
In combination with 4UB

In my 2017 it was listed as ZDH as well. I think this has DHP. Go drive it.

You are missing nothing as the ventilated seats are a joke. My M35 gave a nice gold bond sensation where these you can barely feel a difference

Yeah they definitely aren't the greatest. Should be cooled not ventilated. Wish there was a way to take one of the rear vents and channel it straight to the driver seat.

Sorry I forgot to put the year. Its a 2014. (Also updated the original post) I was really looking for a 2015 because the chances of CPO, but only the 2014 came up. Either way i'm happy and doubt i'll notice the difference in gear ratios.

It was my "limited" understanding that with the M Sport package it was listed as the M adaptive suspension. I remember reading somewhere where someone broke it down, but all that accomplished was causing me to be even more confused on what to look for.

When I was shopping around, I could only find a 50i with dhp but non-msport. After a long talking night with my girlfriend, we decided to go for the look. And we took one with msport and Nappa leather package, but only m adaptive.

Right now, hearing you guys talking about how great the dhp are, I kind of regret of my choice.

So take it. It’s a great deal.

My search originally started with finding a clean 13 X5M.

Although I'll enjoy the M much better, this was a nice trade-off since this in the family vehicle.

yes, looking at the VIN decoder, this car has the entire DHP (ZDH) !!!
ZDH Dynamic Handling Package ($4500 in 2014):
2VP Dynamic Performance Control + Active Roll Stabilization $3600
2VF Adaptive M Suspension (with Msport) $900
Adaptive M Suspension = Active Air Shocks (stiff on smooth roads, compliant on bumpy!)
Dynamic Performance Control = Torque Vectoring Rear Diff (drives car to the apex!)
Active Roll Stabilization = Anti Roll Bars with motors to provide active antitwist!! (FLAT cornering!!)

.

Good deal. And yes the ventilated sears are a waste of holes in the leather. The Napa seats look much better without all the holes.

You will not regret the DHP. Just remember. You'll need to truly drive it occasionally to take advantage. Enjoy the on ramps!!!!!

I didn’t click the decoder link...but does this new car you are getting have Active cruise w/stop and go?

I have the DHP w/ active M suspension and torque vectoring rear differential....I swear this truck handles just as good as my Dinan lowered E39 M5.

I don't think I've read anyone actually enjoying the seats. Glad to not have them then.

In Houston, most of my enjoyment will be with the On ramps.

It does not have the active cruise control. It would have been nice to have but I also won't be driving this too much so I'll prefer to do all the driving when I am using it. I will try the driving assistant plus a few times though.

Also thinking about doing the muffler delete so I'll likely be on that throttle often.

Muffler delete is a must on the 50i. Going on seven months with it and still puts a smile on my face. Valet guys love it too, say it sounds so mean and ask me what all I have done. They can't believe my "exhaust with quad tips" cost $325.

Service Advisor here where I'm picking up the car (BMW of South Austin) mentioned it may void warrantee. Will have to check with the dealers in Houston.

My warranty is up but removing an exhaust is different than altering cats and other things. They would have to prove it caused anything, which it won't.

E70 X5M is really slower than F15 50i. Moreover tuned Stage 1 F15 50i with DHP is on same dynamics as F85 X5M.
