Sunroof drains

I know that this subject has been aired a lot but has anyone ever replaced one of the front drain tubes?
I have a 2008 X5 E70 and the left hand (passenger side in UK)
drain is blocked. I have tried all sorts of ways to unblock it from both ends but with no success so I thought I might try to completely replace or even reroute the drain tube. Has anyone done this?
Thanks

a) u asked the wrong section of the forums, this is for the F15 generation of X5s, but A pillar construction should be similar

and

b) no u cannot replace the drain as it is sealed within the A pillar from the factory, so without cutting open ur A pillar, u wont be able to touch it
