(100%) How to FLash NBT EVO with Esys + ICOM / ENET (DIY)

Went through the thread 1 instructions and was able to get my 2016 nbt evo reflashed - this is a replacement HU off of eBay, but with same exact part number as my HU. Any case, did not see any errors during the flash. Bluetooth works, CD player, radio, phone/contacts all work. Just NAVigation is grayed out and when I hit the NAV button nothing happens. To add, I have my original HU, in which the drive failed, and was able to get a SSD drive to work with bimmerremotes help, any case after getting the NAV map from them, Nav work on my original unit. I’d like to get NAV working on the replacement HU that I just flashed, so I can resell. Any case, is this normal that NAV is grayed out after a flash? If so, how can I get nav working again?

You have a Donor Head Unit with Donor FSC Codes. They need to be wiped and your OEM FSC Codes loaded, or patch EVO and load a full set of Custom FSC Codes. PM sent.

No BMW supports Wired CarPlay. Wireless only.

Hi, it’s probably off topic.

I am a new to coding and had found someone to flash my car to the newest ID6 with full screen CarPlay. But am not sure if it is safe to code after flashing.

What I wanted to do is to change the region from Japan to AUS/NZ via changing FA, FSC and the map after that. Will normal procedure work or do I have to do anything special?

Would it be safe to code with BimmerCode, say changing RADIO_COUNTRY?

Hi All, so I have the first EVO Navigation

Just wanted to confirm whether it is alright to flash from evo_D to an upgrade NBT Evo version so I can access carplay? Is there any restrictions regarding from which evo version I start at?

You can flash the unit to NBTEvo id5/id6, the current firmware doesnt matter. It the nbtevo version you are flashing to matters, newer version have instability and some doesnt support the currecnt display.

I have an EntryNav2 FW-version of D1719D1R, but to activate Carplay, I first have to update. already have psdzdata_full v4.41.30.

Do I need to take other things into account or just follow this fantastic DIY?

Flash Process for EntryNav2 is the same.

I've followed all the step described on the original post. just after clicking start I am posted with the folllowing question: Please enter the current and last integration step. It comes already pre-filed with shipment and last step which are the same of my factory. However, it comes with F020-17-11-521. in the other screenshot I showed you, esys calculated target for me to be F020-23-07-530.


So my question is... on this screen, should I use F020-17-11-521 or F020-23-07-530... this is not clear to me nor I believe I saw any mention to this step on the original howto. Also.. just double checking... I selected FEM_BODY and FEM_GW because they are listed as requisites.. just want to make sure this is exactly what I should be doing...

If programming the entire car, then your current I-Step Shipment of F020-17-11-521 will become I-Step Last and F020-23-07-530 will become I-Step Current. If only flashing HU and FEM, I would leave them alone, although this data is purely informational and serves no actual purpose. If "Update VCM" is unchecked Under E-Sys Options, this would not appear at all.

Flash process is same. ENTRYNAV not capable of CarPlay. ENTRYNAV2 capable of CarPlay if it has WLAN Port.
