What springs set up rides best for F85?

Looking to lower my x5m but dont want super slammed look. Not really looking into coilovers.

Dinan springs are the go choice for OEM+ ride and comfort. Drawback is the lowering is not very dramatic. There's pretty good thread in the first page of the forum that has pics and feedback from owners with Dinan springs.

And what will be the lowest possible for springs, without the H&R vtf?

The problem with lowering is not so much the springs in the front as it is with the air bags in the rear.. They can get bouncy really quick if it sits too low. I experienced that first hand with leaky bags and rode on it for a lil bit when it sat all the way down. So your constraint is the rear more so than the front. I would check out blown99 thread on the H&R VFT measurements so you get an idea.

H&R VTF measurements:

As someone else above stated - Dinan will ride the best but the ride height difference will be very minimal - 5/8" front, 3/4" in the rear. Unless you are a DIY'er and can install the springs yourself, it's going to be pretty costly for such a small change (springs are $290 + tax/shipping, cost of install, & alignment).

If you read around the forum the general consensus seems to be... spend the $ for coilovers and do it right the first time. Most of the other options lead to noticeably diminished ride quality.

What did you do with bump stops? Did you shave or do they sell it like dinan sells theirs? Also how is the ride quality?

this is an eibach drop? can you measure your fender to center hub distance in the front please? curious to compare that number to the f15 eibach height

and any reason you didn't go with the dinan kit?

Hi I love all your mods especially the front lip, rear spoiler and side skirts. Would you be able to share where you purchased these? Thanks!

I also just purchased the Eibach pro kit with Bilstein B4s on your recommendation and the pics of your car! Much appreciated!
