35d fuel pump recall pop-up, dealer says no
Hello,
I have a '18 35d, and was driving yesterday and the center screen popped up with a message about the high pressure fuel pump recall (see photo below). 71k miles, no CEL/MIL, or change in the behavior of X5. I called the dealer and they said there are no recalls for my vehicle (based on the VIN) and that they would not be doing anything. Is this message suggesting it needs to be replaced due to my vehicle exhibiting conditions to prompt the message? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I guess I am wondering why my car would pop up the recall notice if I do not need or qualify for it.

Probably just a glitch in the system.

Is it possible that your X5 may have already had the recall completed previously? Once the recall is performed, your vehicle is cleared from the list and will no longer show as needing the work.

Very possible. I got the vehicle at 61k miles so I'm not sure what recall work may have been performed. I'm going to stop by the dealer and see if they can clear the message.

You can also cross check on this BMW site. It is for reimbursement .... if claim was already submitted. Also call the dealer and confirm if recall was done.
