Just set the mirror to be at the most "in" position so the outer edge of the mirror is far out enough for you to stick you fingers behind it and just pull the mirror off. It will just pop out. No tools required. Unclip the wires and attach the same wires to the same places on the new mirror and just push the new mirror into place, it will just pop right in.

I opted to not connect the anti-Dazzle feature since these mirrors do not make much glare from headlights to begin with. To me, this improves the night time ability to see cars next to you.

Super easy and takes 5 minutes to do. You will LOVE these mirrors.

Pretty straight forward. Pull the mirror out, carefully remove 2 pins/wires for the auto dim, and a plug for the heating element. Plug the wires/plug to the new mirror, gently push the new mirror back into the housing.

I was worried at first, but after doing the first side, the other side was a piece of cake.

I personally dont think this is worth modding.

I'd much rather add some cash and get the 6WB cluster

I barely even look at my blind spot indicators on my mirrors.

Nice...I like this mod because it's not too expensive but makes a huge difference.

Awesome, I'm going to pick some up.

Strange that I am excited about this mod, hahaha. Do you guys know if this mod will give me a better growl in my exhaust?

Does it make a huge difference? That's my question. Otherwise seems as though the dome convex stick on blind spot mirrors would be the cheapest option, but they are an eye sore.

key words...EYE SORE

This would be most integrated look and help with the blind spot.

I'm with you here and at only $200 seems like no brainer. I guess I'm just hoping it will make a HUGE difference in blind spot detection.

I think if you temper your expectations, you will be happy. That's how I am approaching it from the feedback from people who have this installed. Quick, semi cheap mod with decent results.

I had the asphericals on my e70, F10, Touareg, and now on my F15 and Elise. It's the first thing I "mod" when I pick up a new car. In fact, I ordered these mirrors before my F15 was even delivered. I took them to the dealer and installed them before I even drove it off the lot. My salesman was quite exacerbated when I walked up to my new truck and pulled the brand new mirrors off to install the asphericals!

They absolutely make a huge difference and there is no need to turn head to look before changing lanes.

Just picked up the last one on eBay! You guys got me nervous that it would be out of stock, hahaha.

Trying to get the wife to sign off on these before I pull the trigger. She DD's the X5. She claims she's fine with the look of the stick on dome mirrors

I think there are different sellers because the guy I purchased mine from is not showing anymore.

There is this guys who is selling for the same price but the shipping has been pushed back a week.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-X5-SERI...cAAOSwQItUCZjl

Either way, I'm looking forward to them...helped make me to just go ahead and purchase instead of it lingering in my mind.

Installed last night and made a quick video for those interested in them but wasn't convinced about the functionality of them. It really works great. You'll notice that the car is still visibly in mirror right before you see the actual front of car next to your window.

You can use this video for installation guidance

How long did it take you guys to receive the mirrors from the ebay seller? Did he even "mark as shipped" and provide tracking number? I bought it a few days ago from the seller but no update from him.
