Export X5 Xdrive40e

Hi.

I’m interested in buying a BMW X5 XDrive40e and import it to my country.

Question: Previous cars I have imported have been from Canada, where everything is in metric (when it comes to instrumentation), does the BMW X5 eDrive40e, have option to change settings to metric instead of Imperial (Celcius, Kilometer, etc.)

I can change it from miles to kilometers and other metric measurements. Settings, Language/Units and the settings are there. Only the analog portion of the speedometer still lists Miles (kilometers in smaller font). If you convert to the full digital speedometer, I think it'll have everything in metric displayed.

Edit: not sure if the Canadian version will list the metric speed in a larger font than miles on the analog speedometer.

6WB isn’t compatible with the 40e.
If you have a HUD then that’s where you’ll see MPH, otherwise the cluster is only in metric (Km/h).

From what I heard you can do the mod but your battery information and battery percentage won't be available.

Otherwise it will work as normal.

You used bimmercode to change the cluster to mph? How does the speedometer work?

Okay, you don’t need to use BimmerCode to change that, it can just be done in iDrive under units.
