Self-leveling/air rear suspension

If it's got springs in the back then it's NOT self leveling. The noise is the fuel pump.

Air bags only comes with 3rd row or DHP standard and only come in the rear.

The second statement above is incorrect. I ordered my 2018 35d with self leveling and DDC, which combined was a $1,500 option - a lot less than DHP, which is $4,500. I don't have 3rd row either.

Hence why I said as standard within those packages. Not a special order....

We went from a standard steel spring suspension, to which I added air lift bags in the springs, 2015 X5 3.0d to a loaded 2017 X5 3.0d with the adaptive M suspension, (electronic dampening control, self leveling rear suspension, and QMVH differential) made a HUGE difference in towing a 3,800 lb RV. A lot more stable and definitely a lot less sway. Gained 5 mph on the highway and 80% less white knuckle driving.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm looking at buying a 2018 X5 xDrive35d with the Adaptive M suspension. Can anyone confirm for me that the Adaptive M suspension has or contains rear self leveling suspension? Apologize in advance if this is a dumb question. I'm planing on doing some heavy towing with it and I just want to make sure the car has self leveling suspension in the rear. Thanks in advance.

It didn't used to but maybe in the 2018 but that would be news to me as it used to only be included if you had 3rd row or DHP.

Adaptive M was a completely separate option that affects the shocks and not springs.

But like I said it very well may be combined in 2018 as they're probably trying to get rid of parts in the factory and sell as many as they can before they're done.
