Had a charger on my ass earlier on an interstate on ramp. I put it in sport and darted on to the interstate. He pulled next to me with a look of disbelief on his face. I saw the Hemi badge and heard his exhaust as he floored it and I 'quickly' walked away from him. Not that this is a win for the books but watching him bang on his dashboard as passed him sure put a smile on my face .

I usually drive in comfort mode but sport mode is a completely different animal with this tune. Coming from a tuned CTS V coupe, I still can't believe how much power this thing has.
Just had BM3 installed on my X5 and I'm having the slight shudder at WOT. Hopefully new plugs and coils will fix that issue. Did you ever hear back about that custom tune? I'm looking to get DPs and move to stage 2

Depends on the mileage, you may not need to change the coils. But one step colder plugs with tighter gap, will always be a good idea.

A few of us have had this problem. Which tune are you running, 91 or 93 octane? If it's not going into limp mode and it's just a shudder it may be poor fuel. The DME will cut off fuel if it senses poor fuel quality to prevent engine damage, at least this is my understanding. In my case, it was a bad tank of gas which can happen just about anywhere. I'm not sure how well Octane ratings are regulated. It's definitely a good idea to change your coils and plugs but it doesn't sound like that's the issue you're having.

As far as the custom tune goes... I've just about given up. I've sent multiple emails inquiring about it and they haven't been returned

I'm quite certain it's your plugs. This issue was instantly resolved when I replaced old plugs after tuning with BM3.

I did coils at the same time as a precaution. I've read the increased load of a bad plug will wear out the coil faster. I really didn't want to replace the plugs only to find out that a coil was also shot in the process.

Thanks guys. I’m almost done running though the last tank of gas. BobBeau currently running a 93 tune. Hopefully with the new plugs, coils, and gas all will be well!

Doberman16 damn your dyno numbers look great!

So BM3 STAGE 2 Beta is out for mild or aggressive burble. Has anybody applied?

Any news on mild burble on Stage 1?

Hello, quick questions. Do you guys hear any clicking noise or craking noise under the car when you give WOT? Currently running ACN fuel Stage 1 tune. Went to the dealership a few days ago and mechanical said it’s all about the poor quality fuel. Just want check if someone have same problem with me?

Any suggestions on how to tune my 2017 X5 Msport? I have the 35i and I work for BMW

Need some direction in terms of how to boost my X5 without making it sounds ridiculous. Trying to keep it low key, but also a sleeper off the line.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

What are you goals? Are you simply looking for more power or something else?

Do you have a 35i or 50i? This particular thread is dedicated to tuning the 50i and there are different options based on which engine you have.

I've had my 2016 50i for about a month. The guy that I bought it from had an ESS tune installed. I put it back to stock and loaded the BM3 stage 1 93 tune on it and it has a lot of hesitation after the boost comes up at WOT that wasn't really there with the ESS tune. I'm not sure if plugs have been done yet.....it has 35k miles with a rear muffler delete and M air filters. Any ideas?

I sent logs to their support and got three custom flashes to try out and log. After new coils and plugs all is well.
