Hmm, the only difference I could think of between the two lines would be the sport-tranny on the M line. Besides that, I can't think of anything else. Steering should be identical, too.

Cool. If I go with xLine then I'd be giving up Sport+ and paddle shifting the transmission. A test drive will help sort this out but I doubt paddle shifting the 8-speed auto would be that much fun since I'm coming out of a car with M-DCT. Still would be nice to get the sports auto as an add on to the xLine.

That's true - and that's why I would be curious, too, if there are any plans to offer the sport-auto on the other lines as well. After all, the sport-transmission is also available on non-M Lines on the F10.

Hi Jason,

Please ask for the specs for the wheels? I have a 30d on order, want to change the rims to 20" but want to know the specs for it. Such as the "Offset" data - which I could not find it on the general specs....Thanks a lot!

Will the wheels from an E70 fit the F15?

I have a set of 21" 215 that I would like to keep

Real questions to BMW

> This F15 is mainly has the same specs/measurements accept front head room
Rest is cosmetic makeover/change, like front end/bumper is gets damaged you don't
have to replace fender or hood and no blending of color to match in 2009-2013 E70.
> Exterior colors, limited choice is a joke for Premium Vehicles
> Interior got better but other automakers, like Ford/Lincoln, Cadillac/Buick, they have
a touch screens instead a new age joystick
> Premium vehicle should have mote of the options as standard. Just for example
even Hyundai/Kia offer ventilated, leather seats as standard in some models for
around $20K
> Why North America gets only some X5 models and rest of the world many more
models like: X5 20d, X5 40d, X5 50d
> When will be a front and rear air suspension like one on MB GL
> When they decide to make more room in back of vehicle for REAL 3rd SEAT and for
cargo with 3rd seat option/current model almost zero, MB GL is better choice for room
but their engine, trans/millage are holding me from buying.

LCD gauges

When are LCD gauges (MFD option) coming into production?

Are they going to be changed signifficantly from the current ones that are an option in the 5, 6 and 7 series?

I had 4 E70s and am one of the people that loves the heavy steering feel on the opposite I hated the 650i cab steering feel (non- ///MSport) ended up getting rid of it in 2 months....

After getting rid of my ///M3 lime rock park I ended up with a 911 and love the feel.

I want to make sure I am not making a mistake with my F15 order and am simply wondering if I should Switch to the Cayenne or will BMW be able to hold on to my SAV/SUV business....

Steering feel is very important to me...

BTW - where is it taking place ?

Thanks Jason
MY only worry with this car, sadly I will order it anyhow (40d), as Cayenne diesel S i too expensive (I understand it is a higher class car) and have issues with Range Rover Sport reliability/warranty and after sales figures. Cayenne diesel (non S) is a bit slow, but what is keeping me away is that Cayenne is likely to have a facelift soon. I can only hope active steering will (in spite of being fully artificial as well) be done very well. I feel I need to say that heavy steering is what dragged me into BMW. I just parked an E46 for a cute lady friend and was thinking how I love the steering on the car. One more ride on the twisty roads and that was it, only BMW since then.

Oh, BTW, my question would be: Why is there no massage-feature for the seats offered on the F15?

I would love to be able to use an iPhone/Android app to turn on my car ventilation before I get to it. The timers are great and I use them on my M3 but they only work well if you are on a rigid schedule. I would love to be able to just start the venting about ten minutes before leaving work.

Edit: nevermind...just found out this IS available on the X5

I would assume so. It is available in Europe for all models, 25d does not get M adaptive suspension and squared of exhaust, but more or less it will be the same.
