Spare and non-runflats will change your life. You'll never realize how harsh the runflats tires are until you've changed to non-runflats; after which you'll cringe every time you drive a loaner.

The factory jack and donut does not bounce around even if you don't have the factory holder.

That said I have third row, so no space under there. For short trips I use a sealer and I carry a plug kit (If I have blow out, I have AAA Premier). For long trips I carry the spare in the trunk. I carry a 6 ton bottle jack that I put in the compartment on the left.

As for the tires you listed there, I only used the Dunlop runflats and they seemed to do pretty well.

I have recently changed from Pirelli to Dunlop Sport Maxx GT RFTs.
Early days however they do have a slightly improved ride quality.
Hoping I will get more miles out of them as the Pirellis were shocking
They certainly have a wider wheel profile across tread (325/30/21)which I like.

Vredestein. Look at the reviews on tire rack. They’re quickly becoming the go-to. Beating Michelin all seasons.

I’m very happy with my Vredestein’s. They ride well, minimal noise, handle well in wet, and on dry. They wear well, too.

Very close on the DWS vs AS4 vs Vred performance wise but the 400 treadwear rating on the Vred kills it for me. Conti the least expensive by a little. I'm going that route next coming from AS4

I’m running the Conti DWS06 for my seasonal tires. They have been great so far!

What Vredestein? Quatrack Pro? I am also looking at Michelin Defender LTX M/S and Primacy A/S (which is what i have now, but seemed to wear out fast). Have 19’s.

Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT DSST
1. Very hard to loose psi / every 2-3 months
2. After 1st month the driving is comfort and sporty and excellent in wet conditions
3. Last min 40.000 miles
4. Good on turns and road anomalies with 72db noise is the lowest noise tire.
**previous experience Pirelli zero:
1. After 3 months comfort then transfer all anomalies inside car.
2. Lasted 25k miles
3. Every two weeks pressure change
4. In wet conditions are a bit turbulent

I believe nobody can have better material from Dunlop max gt ! I am not changing Dunlop with any brand 👍

Treadwear ratings across manufacturers are not consistent, FYI. There is no governing body that the number is rated against. Take a deeper read about tire ratings and you’ll discover a Vred 400 is not the same as a Mich 400 or a conti 400. I’m not sure that a Vred 400 is better or worse, but over time and purchasing lots of tires I’ve just started to follow Mileage guarantees, tread depth, and reviews to ascertain a real expectation of tire life.

The Contis are great, and I’m just finishing with them now. Got about 30k usable “snow” tires out of them. They’ll be worn out by 40k for sure. Have 35k on them, and I even rotated them. I will replace them at the wear bars as this is the main family vehicle and I like to stay safe. Also, I’m just a bit bored with them by now. They’re great, but something a tad more plush would be nice. It should noted they make a lot more noise past 30k miles in my experience.
