Update: Once I decided that the deal they offered me was terrible and I needed to hire a lawyer. I have called to dealership twice and left two voicemails with the GSM and no return call. I have been driving the loaner for over two weeks. As much and I enjoy my M cars this experience is making me want to buy a new SVR.

I lemoned a Range Rover Sport in NJ about 10 years ago. I sent one letter and copies of the invoices to LRNA and two weeks later and I received a letter agreeing to repurchase the car. The whole process took a total of one month.
The law is pretty simply laid out and if you believe your situation qualifies, write BMW NA a letter, with all the supporting documentation and request a buy back under NJ law. Don't waste your money on an attorney just yet... either the car meets the qualifications or not. If they refuse to buy it back and you strongly believe it qualifies, then consult an attorney or better yet, use NJ's lemon law unit and find relief without an attorney. |
