Cargo net, or first aid kit & triangle
Had a little time today, so thought I'd flip through the manuals that came with my X5 M (never know what one might discover). I noticed a warning triangle and first aid kit referenced to be in a compartment in the boot of the vehicle. When I went to inspect these, I discovered in place of the triangle and first aid kit, my vehicle had a neatly folded and packaged cargo net. Just curious what everyone else got in this compartment. It's inside a pulldown panel at the far back left. Maybe the US vehicles don't come with the triangle and first aid kit?

I know for storage for luggage. What I meant by this was vs warning triangle and firstaide kit are useable items. I feel luggage net is a waste. I rather have warning triangle and firstaide kit. I should have been more clear in my reply. Thanks for reply. I bought mine in USA. So is the warning triangle and firstaide kit an European thing, or did anyone else in states get the warning triangle and firstaide kit?

Thanks for the responses everyone. I glean from the posts that the US vehicles don't get the triangle and first aid kit, but, rather, get the cargo net in their place. It's a bit of a letdown that BMW can't include all three items for everyone. I was able to find a set online including the triangle, first aid kit, and two reflective vests for under $100, so I'd imagine BMW's cost would be under $50, if they wanted to include them.

The US doesn't get the warning triangle or first aid kit as neither are mandatory here.
But, like a good modder who enjoys the finer things out of Europe, I picked up both including the clip for the warning triangle.

No. Don't ask me how I got it, either. Somehow it just ended up in my suitcase after visiting a BMW Center in Germany.

I checked my rear compartment and i have the net but no warning triangle, first aid kit, and/or reflective vests. I also don't have the air compressor mobility kit or the fire extinguisher underneath the driver seat... I have a 2016 X5M (F58).

Digging up a thread from 4 years ago. I thought UrbanExtant came back. I haven't seen him post in years.

For what it’s worth i’ve read on other forum that the Warning Triangle and First Aid Kit are only available on models where delivery is taken in Europe (so, European models, and US models taken with ED). These items are mandatory to have in your car in much of Europe, so they’re included in cars delivered there. Apparently for US-spec cars taken with ED, they even tell you to remove these items if you want to keep them because they will be removed at the VPC if you have not. In any case i’m going to source these missing items and make my boot complete.
