I'm interested to see how the repair turns out. Will they be able to match that machined type of finish?

I have been looking for someone with the mocha interior/carbon fiber trim combo to see what it looks like as I have the mocha interior as well. Looks great 👍🏽. Love the wheel too.
Thanks man! #makemochagreatagain
Haha yessir. Did you swap out the trim yourself? I was considering it until I saw I had to take apart the door lol. Looked like a lot of work, although I'm sure worth it in the end. I was also considering getting a wrap for the steering wheel that would simulate yours to some degree which you hand stitch, but was worried it would affect the heating capability.

I just pulled my door cards off last weekend to install the carbon fiber trim. I'm not a big DIY'er, and even for me it was fairly simple. There's a Bavsound DIY video on YouTube that details how to remove the door panels.

The install is simple, coughing up $2000 was a bit harder

Man, you guys are bad for the wallet. If I can find a good deal on it I may have to do it.

Yes I swapped out the M Performance CF Trim kit myself. Not hard just takes patience. You can do it!

FYI The steering wheel heating functionality and efficiency is unchanged with the Coby wrap.

Ahh, didn't realize that was a wrap, thought it was the full wheel. Thats intriguing, will check it out thanks!

Looking at their site, I don't see an f15 option. Was there another model with the same wheel as the f15 that you used instead?

Finally made time last weekend to install the reardoor/trunk spoiler from Russia (not the best fit, wish BMW made this part...).
Had a few issues with it. Might make a separate write up with more pictures and helpful hints using Betalink K2 adhesive, from DuPont.

I’m hoping to see the person that bought my X5 on here one day. It’s probably unlikely, but I suppose there’s a chance.
