Thank you. I'm gonna replace them with a clear one, or is there some looking better option?

Just add the white painted reflectors or tint them dark.

How did you remove the exhaust tips? I thought they had to be cut off and welded back on, correct?

I have the MPE, so they are just clamped on.

Thanks. I think tint them dark would look so cool and I wouldn't have to take them off.. 😎

bay is filthy (will fix that later today) , but bought a Turbosmart Dual Port. Felt like something was missing from a sensation perspective when driving so this should fix that.

Don't think I ever posted the X5 sitting on TSW Nords which have what I think is a striking and complex finish. Machined face with dark tint, ball milled inner spokes and satin black insets. Look bronze during the day. Picked these up when I couldn't find any decent genuine BMW wheels.

Very nice garage. I aspire for mine to look like that one day. Currently it's more function over form... but I can dream.

Those are pretty nice for TSW's too. They are a very "entry level" wheel brand. Not nocking the choice, I have run them on vehicles as well, so no offense meant. Just mean to say that is one of the nicer TSW wheels I've seen. We used to run some TSW Vortex 20's on another SUV and never had an issue with them.

Thanks, the race deck floor really dresses up any garage and they're about $3 per sq-ft so fairly reasonable vs a true professional epoxy job. I've done diy epoxy previously and never had it turn out right.

Totally understand the comments on TSW. I've used them before as winter wheels on other vehicles and was really shocked to see this design and quality.

Did you install the Race Deck flooring yourself? I also love your garage and have been looking at Race Deck. Looking at their site, they seem to recommend pro install for their flooring so am curious about that and would welcome your perspective.

Yes, absolutely zero need for a pro install. They snap together as easy as Lego blocks. They have an interlocking tabbed design that you simply line up and then tap with a rubber mallet to secure. When I put it down about 5 years ago, my 8 and 6 year old boys did about half the floor by themselves once I got them going.

You start in a corner (say right front of garage) and work yourself back and to the left. Depending on the size of the garage you'll likely end up with either the back edge or left edge (or both) needing cut to fit. I used a small table saw used for tile that you can rent or pick up cheap at HD or Lowes.

One tip if you go this route, sign up on the garage journal forums and then reference that site when asking for a quote. They used to give a nice discount and imagine they still do. There's an entire forum over there on flooring.

Awesome. Now I gotta clean out my garage first lol. I'm also curious - is that cabinetry custom or did you also add that yourself?

Those are just stock Gladiator cabinets from Lowes. They come in pieces (RTA ready to assemble) and I'm happy with them although they're a little on the light side (maybe 24 gauge steel?)

On another wall I have a set of New Age cabinets that are a similar color (white/platinum) but high gloss. Believe I got them at Costco but they're available a lot of places. They come already assembled in giant boxes and are MUCH heavier duty (18 gauge welded steel). I think I have (6) six ton jack stands on one self in one of the cabinets. Definitely worth the money.

^ What he said. I installed RD for my Dad at his place. Very easy and nice end result. Though I used a grinder with cutoff disc for cutting the tiles. Hah, be sure to wear safety glasses when cutting as plastic bits go flying everywhere.

For my place I NEED epoxy floors. I do way too much work (wood and cars) and the holes/seams in the RD flooring would not be a good idea in my situ. Plus I'd worry about jack stands on the plastic flooring. Doubt I will DIY the epoxy as getting it right is very tedious, time consuming, and no partial redos if you screw up.
